OMG. At the beginning, when you found the first paste pot, the thing that you didn't know what it was and threw away was a fossil. It was a piece of lepidodendron (scale bark tree) root about 300 MY old. I wish it had come home, too.
Great video.nice change of scenery.you found great stuff.cant wait for crafting video.diane was a find.always nice to meet up with like minded people.x
A beautiful video Mick, Sarah, on such a perfect day. We relaxed as much as you guys did, nothing like a decent river to explore. And Sarah, you are not stupid, never put yourself down. We are all still learning. Love the finds and the chat with the other mudlarker. Mick, the drone video was as good as ever as was the rest of the camera work. Re the sandwiches, Sue and I take a few slices of bread/rolls, some butter, ham, cheese and tomato, some mayonnaise and make up the sandwiches when we get to our picnic spot. Not a lot to carry. Sue and Ian
That was a lovely lark to Yorkshire. Lots of interesting bits and bobs. I think the cut glass stopper at the end is my favourite. I enjoyed Mick's drone footage, and your chat with Diane. Such seemingly ordinary things, but on a beautiful sunny day after lockdown, it's wonderful. Take care & stay safe. See you on the next video.
Hope you get your dingy . Would be even better if it had a strong glass bottom , and you brought some kind of long strainer scoop to lift deep treasures . I want to get one too , for a very old river that I don't think anyone has mudlarked for a hundred years . Very overgrown with brush and down trees . Very muddy . Probably full of industrial waste and old Victorian dumping items . Stay safe , have fun . Anne Minnick from Massachusetts , USA . Carpe Diem.
I have been waiting so long for you guys to go back here these videos of you are my absolute favorite I watch them over and over again! Well.... Actually I watch all your videos over and over again. Lol
The ceramics White flat round thing is from milk or cream tops. Some other mudlarks have found them, some with a Big star on. And how could you leave that cute fusebox, it had Eyes, and you sat him Down next to his cute blue hat 🌼
Watching today, last night I had a chatting grandchild, Harry Potter blaring out and trying to make sense of the subtitles was just too much lol. Great finds, lovely video, great aerial shots 😀 x
So jealous you can see your grandkids mine were coming down from Scotland this weekend but they got COVID my daughter had two vaccines and still got it . So will be another few weeks now not seen them since July ! Yes great finds few gems
You could have Mick cut the threads off those screw-tops, and they'll look just like a cork top. Some of those were nice bottles despite the screw tops.
I've been really busy at work so I'm a little behind. Still have my finds soaking.I can't believe how dirty my face was 🤣 We managed to get the millstone home in one piece, although, I say we as in the royal we! T'was Andy who had the strength. So nice to meet you. Hope we bump into each other again someday. Happy hunting.

Mick can’t swim? Never would have guessed someone born on an island never learned to swim. It’s all good, just wouldn’t have thunk it.
