- A weight distribution and sway control hitch is a must-have for towing a trailer safely and smoothly. Weight distribution hitches help to ensure a smooth, level ride and allow you to tow at the maximum capacity allowed by your hitch. They also help to correct tow vehicle sag, improve steering and stopping, and correct trailer sway. Sway control reduces swaying and bouncing when towing at high speeds. Best of all, it’s made in the USA. The Equal-i-zer hitch is a two-in-one design that combines weight distribution and sway control.
It uses a 4-point system that relies on friction to reduce trailer sway while towing.
It is a solid built unit . We’ve been using it for a couple of years and put over 1,000 miles and it has performed flawlessly. We highly recommend it. You will not any regret.

Equalizer advises in the instructions for our hitch that the labels for the bars should be right side up.
Thanks for the heads up.

Chains not crossed.
Shouldnt the breakaway cable attached to the vehicle and not snt part of the towbar?
Good catch Thanks Chuck & Carie
How big is your travel trailer, and what is your weight and tongue weight? Also, what model number is your hitch? I really appreciate any help you can provide.
I have the Equal-i-zer 4-point 10,000 lbs GTW. My trailer is Grand Design 23LDE 8,000 max weight. Tongue weight is 900 lbs. I would highly recommend this hitch. Hope this helps.
@@Lake2Lake Thank you.
Where to you get those 8X8 blocks of wood? Home Depot does not carry anything shorter thank 6 foot and won't cut them into shorter lengths. I see a lot of videos where people use that large timber stock to put there jack foot on. Any help appreciated. Great video I am just picking up my first trailer so these videos really help.
