We have been snowed on in Island Park, Yellowstone & Grand Teton quite a few times over the years from May thru September! It melts off fast so it's all good. A bad day camping is better than a good day at work!
I love how ya'll take enjoyment in even the chores. Set up, tear down ect. You show real enjoyment not hype. And no dramatics in any of the vids. I would say you have a dedicated watcher now. My wife is even amazed i found people I like to watch. Keep on keepin on....
Thanks Matt, I have been wanting to provide some more video footage of the backup process for people (since this is an issue for many) and I like the way this turned out. We always use the walkie talkies and this was a good example of why (very spotty cell service in GTNP). Cheers
Thanks for your comment and for reading the book! One of these days I'd like to integrate some of our videos into the ebook. It would be cool to have 'em together. Safe travels to you!
would I love to in a Airstream during a snow storm. how cozy is that? a big pot of soup and movies. Then the wild life. Your Vid must take a little of time. You do great editing. I really enjoy watching. Thx. Mark.
Thanks much. Yes, a lot of our vids have taken a lot of time to put together. Sometimes I wonder why I bother (no one ever seems to notice!), so thanks much for your kind comments. And yes, Airstream camping in a snowstorm is pure fun! Can't wait for the next opportunity for this sort of experience. Cheers
I just finished reading your book and really enjoyed it, so finding your website and videos was an extra bonus. My wife and I are campers too, and recently traded our pop up for a 24 foot Nomad. We're planning to travel next spring, so all your information, will be of a real value to us. Thanks!
We would love to see your advice on snow/ice preparedness. We got caught in an unexpected ice storm recently (bomb cyclone). We'd checked all the weather apps, called ahead. All was fine until it wasn't. So now we're carrying TV chains at certain latitudes during certain times of the year. But what about on the Airstream? As seasoned travelers, we imagine you two have seen it all. Thanks for all your videos. We're proud students of the Long Long Honeymoon University.
Another awesome video! I'm planning on making a couple of trips to the Tetons in 2018. By the way if you want to experience some awesome time boondocking you should consider Southern Oregon. On a map look for Crater Lake and then scan the area just north of it and also east of it. It's all national forest and the Mt Thielson wilderness area. All along hwy 138 all the way to hwy 97 is all available for dispersed camping and yet you are within 20-50 miles of a pilot station which has diesel and showers plus a Subway restaurant. You haven't lived until you've had your morning cup of coffee (espresso) next to a Ponderosa pine watching the mule deer walk through your camp and the sun streaming through the tree tops. Anyways loved the video and thank you for sharing your adventures with me.
Thanks, we will check it out. We have been through Oregon a few times but we never seem to hit that area during the right time of year to visit Crater Lake.
Another very well done video. The moose are amazing. Glad you realize you can't really go outside when mom and kid moose are out there. As mean as buffalo. Your parting shots of the chain hitting the camera, and spitting out the nasty water are priceless. Thanks for posting. How long do you think you could last out there if it stayed that cold?
Dumb question, I’ve been looking at Airstreams and they are rated for 22° F, but you said single digits, well below what they are designed for. Any issues? Yes, I know the tanks get some heat, but you’re pushing the envelope, I’m curious what if any issues you might have experienced at those temps.?
Do you believe by hugging the coast at this time of yr he could avoid snow? We know Tacoma well If you have ever came in through the bottom of washington that's where we are going just accross Astoria bridge I'm not worried Florida to Texas but then I don't know weather to go up through coast or if it won't make a difference
First let me say y'all have some of the very best informative videos out there Thk you So I have a crazy question My family needs to drive 35 ft pull trailer from Florida to washington state We have an f450 dually but it's mid Dec and I'm worried about high elevation and snow Can you give any advice ( beginners) first vacation outing)
Thanks, and you are right to be worried about ice & snow in WA state. We have family in Tacoma and visit annually. There are some mountain passages that will require snow chains during winter. Tough towing out there even in dry conditions! Definitely do some homework with regard to which highways you intend to take.
You really don’t have to worry about your holding tanks freezing, unless you’re spending the entire winter in minus-degree temps. As you heat your living space, some of that warmth radiates out to your tanks, keeping them from icing up. www.airstream.com/5-tips-living-riveted-winter/

Love it! Made me chuckle on the edge of my seat.
Thanks! This is a fave of ours too.
I love this place.GBYAY
The "spit take" at the end was classic! Got a chuckle, that's for sure.
Thanks! Yep, I love the rattle of the 6.0 diesel too (and SEEMORE's especially rattly in the cold). Cheers

Thanks David, you are right about editing 3 cameras! It's nice when someone out there appreciates it. :D Cheers
I have been there, so beautiful, but cold. I got to see a wolf, it was breath taking. I loved watching you videos, keep them coming.
Summer is a fun time of the year for RVing.
We typically shoot LLH in the summer months.
Same here. Lately ours doesn't always fit the "good running" standard - lol - but I still like the sound.
We would love to see your advice on snow/ice preparedness. We got caught in an unexpected ice storm recently (bomb cyclone). We'd checked all the weather apps, called ahead. Loloho is the best! We love your videos!
As always, I enjoy watching your videos.
Loved this one too. Keep them coming.
I've always loved the sound of a good running diesel engine. Not everyone likes the rattle of a diesel engine. But it doesn't bother me in the least.
SeeMore has never looked better!! heehee That just looks downright cold - especially for suthern' bones. But the moose are really cool to see!
Good one!! As always, thank you for sharing.

Awesome video as usual.
We are so anxious to get back out there. Its been close to 10 yrs.
Thanks Bert for your comment!
Great work as always! can't wait for the new dvds!
Just when I was jonesing for a fix of some LLH ah I'm good to go! Great team work backing up!

Our truck has the 6.0L diesel that has a few design issues. We're working out the bugs.
Thank you! We saw a pack of wolves in Yellowstone.
Another good looking video. Great looking views.
Ours is a 2003 25-foot Classic.

Going to gros venture Friday seems you always see moose there. Where’s the best place too look for them
What year is your Airstream trailer? I've always loved the shape of the Airstream trailer.
Great video...loved the ending .You crack me up!
Very nice looks beautiful
Ha! ALWAYS read those dump station signs... ;-)
how do you guys deal with waste tank freezing prevention when boondocking and travelling about(no grid electric hookups)?
Great video, longtime fan....I know editing 3 cameras thanks time. I applauded you sir
Do you believe by hugging the coast at this time of yr he could avoid snow?
We know Tacoma well
If you have ever came in through the bottom of washington that's where we are going just accross Astoria bridge
I'm not worried Florida to Texas but then I don't know weather to go up through coast or if it won't make a difference
hi guys! hey....any condensation on the walls in cold weather? thanks
Yes, when the furnace is going... We usually crack open the kitchen window and that helps a lot.
Noticed pictures of the hot vent on your Air Stream, have you ever covered them when the bug protectors before?
Thanks for the great video :)
Thanks for your comment! Videos like this one are actually a lot of effort to put together... it's nice when someone notices :)
Nice. I'm curious. Do you spend all the time on the road, or do you have jobs and family life?
do y'all ever come to the blueridge mountains? I can reccomend some great places.
First let me say y'all have some of the very best informative videos out there Thk you
So I have a crazy question
My family needs to drive 35 ft pull trailer from Florida to washington state
We have an f450 dually but it's mid Dec and I'm worried about high elevation and snow
Can you give any advice ( beginners) first vacation outing)
Thanks, and you are right to be worried about ice & snow in WA state. We have family in Tacoma and visit annually. There are some mountain passages that will require snow chains during winter. Tough towing out there even in dry conditions! Definitely do some homework with regard to which highways you intend to take.
Wow stumbled on an Airstream channel where they actually have a self effacing sense of humour! Unheard of.
And so refreshing.
Thanks and welcome! A little humor goes a long way when you're handling a sewer hose...
Great scenery and wildlife but I'd be staying indoors.
What’s the longest you run the generator at a time?
cool, I live in teton valley.
Nice video. Don't start your gen when you are plugged into it though.
The "Good Running" standard?
What do you do to keep your freshwater and other tanks from freezing . At night? I am guessing you unhook your water hose...if hooked up.
Definitely unhook the water hose. We run the propane heat furnace to keep the pipes warm.
So just by running the furnace the water tanks and lines won't freeze? Even in single digit cold?
You really don’t have to worry about your holding tanks freezing, unless you’re spending the entire winter in minus-degree temps. As you heat your living space, some of that warmth radiates out to your tanks, keeping them from icing up. www.airstream.com/5-tips-living-riveted-winter/
Thanks..keep up the good work.
that's what everyone loves, the yokels with the generator. NOT!!
