Naomi I recently shaved my head and ngl I've been feeling self conscious. Because of beauty standards and being femme presenting. I feel a little better and happy we both have shaved heads right now.
I do know what u mean. My hair regularly falls out due to an auto immune disease that at times can cause my hair to grow hollow (like literally hollow just the shaft & empty space in between). Every single time i take shower & ave clumps break off & I have to shave my head it brings me to tears. I always feel so ugly and super self-conscious but I just remind myself that I’m beautiful the way I am at times bald had an all.
I say have fun with your self expression whether your hair is shaved, short, or long. I have to chop mine off into a short pixie because I've had so many arm surgeries I can barely comb my hair before my arms tire out. I used to think short hair was weird on girls/feminine people & now I love the look on myself. Don't let societal beauty standards make you feel bad. I dye my hair different colors, wear fun headbands/hats, and in general just enjoy my newfound "freedom" from feeling like I needed long hair to be feminine/a woman. I just had a hysterectomy too, so between that & my disabilities & now my hair, I'm learning to challenge society and telling others to love themselves & what's best for themselves & to ignore what society thinks because you should enjoy your body & how you look & then the people who matter most (true family & friends worth being in your life) will enjoy it as well & will love you no matter how you look.
Shaving my head a few years ago was the best thing ever! Buzzcuts are a big slay! I am sure you rock that

The album is so amazing! I absolutely love the more emotional and deep songs. It’s something new from Naomi, and I’m totally here for it. Her other songs gave like ‘bad birch’ energy, but these ones give more raw emotions and depth. And I’m obsessed.
