It's fairly loud, louder than I'd want in a living room or bedroom or something. I put a sound meter right against the vents and it is 68dB. From 3 feet away it is near 53 db. You can definitely notice the sound 20-30 feet away, it's probably similar but a little quieter and something like a Cisco switch with an internal fan. Fine in a utility room or closet but would get annoying on your desk in an office. I'll probably end up swapping out the fans with Noctuas to get it a tad quieter.
