1) You make tawbah but find yourself doing the same sin again? Reason probably is you still desire it. The moment you start hating it you will not repeat that sin again inshaAllaah. A beautiful Dua made by the Prophet ﷺ which the wording can also be traced back to [49:7] is 2) اللَّهُمَّ حَبِّبْ إِلَيْنَا الْإِيمَانَ وَزَيِّنْهُ فِي قُلُوبِنَا ، وَكَرِّهْ إِلَيْنَا الْكُفْرَ وَالْفُسُوقَ وَالْعِصْيَانَ وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الرَّاشِدِينَ 3) "O Allah make beloved to us the faith and beautify it in our hearts, and make hateful to us disbelief, wickedness and disobedience and make us from the rightly guided." 4) This was part of a lengthy dua the Prophet ﷺ made on the day of Uhud, one of his most difficult times. On such an occassion he chose this dua. How powerful that is. The Hadith is narrated by Imam Ahmad and is authentic. A beautiful dua.5) Repeat this Dua much. Beg Allah in your sujuud, in the last 1/3 of night, between adhan and iqamah, whenever you get the urge to sin and in all situations. Ask Him sincerely. Humble yourself to Him. Have good thoughts of Him. This time you will leave it for good inshaAllah
