As the battle for control of Geonosis heats up, the Separatist forces begin to overpower the Empire troops and take control of key locations across the planet.
Deciding to take matters into his own hands, Emperor Palpatine leads a force of Dark Troopers to the planet to re-take the ground that has been lost.
However, it is not just droids waiting for the Emperor when he arrives...

I love your Legion battle reports. A hint and I think I catched a mistake. Hint: If you recover, you also take off your supression. Mistake: You did move three times with Maul. Juyo Mastery garantees you three actions, but limits to two moves.
Hi Holger, glad you're enjoying the battle reports. You certainly did spot a mistake, it's be a long time since I played with Maul and completely forgot he couldn't triple move.
Did we forget to remove suppression after a recover or should one of us taken a recover action at some point?
@@CraftyTerrain I really enjoy your reports very much. It seemed to me at 47:20 that the b1s did recover to ready the rocket launcher, but kept the suppression. Not a big issue in any respect. Only sometimes newer players think, that you recover cards and/or suppression individually. So I wanted to mention that.

Loved the double operative list vs dark troopers. It was really unique playstyles to take on this key positions game. Keep up the good work guys!
Hi mate, glad you enjoyed. The Dark Troopers are hard to play against, they have so much fire power and the IRG gave them good protection.
My thinking behind Key Positions was I have more activations and double Force Puch for the end of the game to win the middle KP.
Really like both lists a lot in this one. Felt very competitive which a lot of channels seem to avoid for some reason.
Thank's for the comment, we appreciate the support. For a while I thought the double sith CIS list could be competitive, unfortunately the changes to force choke kind of put an end to the list 🤣.
That's a shame that one card made that huge of an impact in the game but it really did. So strong. But hey Austin at 5th trooper been crushing tournaments with a similar CIS army. I'm just a huge fan of Maul and love seeing him still on the table for them.@@CraftyTerrain
@@battlereadygamingTotally agree, Maul is just such an iconic character and the choke nurf did hurt him but I still think he is playable. After choke was nurfed I ran this same list with double Burst of Speed, it was ok you got into your opponents lines very quickly.
I saw Austin's list, it looks very strong with the 3 Magna's, might have to give it a try 👍.

Thank's buddy, losing Ventress like that was devastating, I knew I might lose the 1 pip roll off but I didn't think she would get one shot killed. Was definitely the start of the end for me and the Clankers 🤣
Brutal final turn for palps, right up until that I thought the droids had it.
It sure was close, but the Palp BOMB was to much to handle 🤣🌩🌩🌩🌩

Hi buddy, yeh I realized after the match I did apologise to Tom also. It's been well over a year since I played with Maul and just completely forgot.

Thank's Jay, yeh it was a close one. If I could of got more out of Ventress things would have been different potentially.
I don't think the Darks do make it through the points changes, also being able to Guardian Darks is a problem.
Palp can take the final wound from his card but wouldn't get to attack one more time as he is removed as soon as he takes the wound.

Amazing game, your table looks insanely good, where did you get the vulture droids and other various downed ships like the arc-170? Would love to make some of this terrain!
Hi buddy, thanks for the comment, we do take pride in having good looking tables and it's alway nice to get positive feedback.
The Vultures come in a 3 pack and I'm sure they're a Hasbro toy, should be able to find them on Ebay.
The ARC 170 I'm not sure on, but I think it's a Revell model kit. Its not perfect scale for Legion, but works if you cut it up and use as crashed terrain.

I know I'm very late to the party on this, but does anyone know where to find that crashed vulture droid? I tried checking the links and I couldn't find it.
Hi Henry, it's never to late for a party buddy lol.
The vulture droids are a Hasbro toy, they coome in a set of 3, you should be able to find them on ebay.
I then cut them up and made them look crashed.

Hi Daily, droids still take suppression but do not lose actions. They can still panic however.
They also don't get any cover from suppression.

Hi Fellaz, I had to run away with the B1s, the Dark Troopers are deadly at range 2, would wipe a squad in one shot. I needed to stay at range and use the impact rocks to get some kills. Don't think of it as running, think of it as tactically repositioning 🤣.

I really think Maul likes Saber Throw...
Hi Daniel, he definitely does and its a very good option, I was just trying the list out with double FP & Choke.
Double Saber Throw would be great in the dark trooper match.
You did so good job with b1s, but the second half of your army (maul and Ventress) did nothing. You attacked snows and storms and they did nothing to maul. Ok there was a palp, but he didnt have push so you could enter into melee quite safe. If you push snows or storms into you, palp cant enter into melee. There were so many options and even if maul dies from palp pip 1, that is a fair trade.
The same with Ventress. Even if you wanted her to stay safe. You could jump fpush kill some. And take standby and jump again next turn. Or even if you were in a punch fight, you would take some with you. Let Say 1 dark unit. So what palp would have? 1 dark (2 activ) and palp. 3 activs vs ... 8?
Force users are made to enter into melee.
But I so much enjoy watching you playing b1s! That was great!
Hi Jakub, thanks for the great comment and I agree with most of what you said. I do feel the way I played Maul was ok, he killed a unit of storms, kept 2 busy all game and held a key position.
I didn't want to dive Ventress into 2 full strength Dark Trooper units plus I also didn't really have a safe time to move in, the turn they came into range, one dark trooper unit had a standby. I got Ventress in safely but lost the 1 pip roll off on the next turn.

You said Maul (200 points?) kept 2 units (88 points?). If he killed 2 units and got some damage and he would be able to kill Palp or Palp need to use his 1 pip. Win situation.
About Ventress. It wasn't 2 units full darks. B1s did some damage. Counting on being first with 2 pip Palp it's not a tactic :) If darks took standby that's cool. Each of darks unit just does nothing, I buy it!
Anyway it was extremely good play with B1. Would you like to play on TTS?

The Game was over after Asajj got 1 shot by that stupid DT roll. God I hate that unit.
Yeh I agree, Asajj getting killed like that was the start of the end for CIS. If she would survived and got to swing her saber just once, it could of been a different game.
