In this game, you're playing as the young DJ and musician, Melodii. After getting caught doing graffiti, they've gotta scratch up some melodies to pay debt for their felonies! Defeat your rivals to get to your jobs (Bosses) on time!

At the beginning of Grease Poppin', we see that McWave's has three restrooms: one for men, one for women, and finally the one that Melodii comes out of. What interests me is that the label on the door is in the shape of the ends of Melodii's headphones... What are the implications of this? Did the restaurant go out of its way to build an exclusive restroom just for Melodii? Does Melodii have some kind of VIP status in the town to the point that they were deemed worthy of their own restroom? What does this mean if it's just an average gender-neutral restroom? Are quarter notes a status symbol among nonbinary people in this universe? _I need answers_
(Also why is it 5:15 when Melodii runs into Jamtine but suddenly it's just before lunchtime when they arrive at McWave's? Did Melodii spend the whole night helping her with those cookies?)
I think it’s just a gender neutral bathroom, but I find it funny to think that Melodii just has their own bathroom

Maybe it's not for gender neutrals but for Rivals, or at least everyone who has those dj scratch board things.
Nami and Biggie has dj boards so I think that the boards are a status symbol or something.
Gender neutral would make sense, melodii's mom calls her they/them pronouns

I love how the game-overs are like “get slapped by a fish” and “get slapped by a cookie.” Then you get to the fast food and the game-over becomes “get involved in an explosion from your stove and suffer third-degree burns”

I’m actually loving how rhythm games are making a come back and I’m all for it and I can’t wait to try this one out for myself and the art and characters are really amazing and the fact that this is a demo is outstanding

It's a really great game. It is definitely inspired by Parrapa in some ways which is also something I really like about it since that kind of gameplay is so much fun. This is hands down one of the best rythm games we've ever gotten. The art and singing is just beautiful

Wow a new great rhythm game came by, it’s definitely inspired by parappa the rapper and all the characters, art and songs are very charming here can’t wait to see the full thing in the future.

Looking at this it's like a combination of games in one:
Parapper the rapper (mostly)
FNF( character design and rhythm)
Volcaloid (How Melodii sings and talks)
Undertale ( way the characters talk in the map screen also Melodii design looks similar to Frisk)
.. hopefully another year or 2 this game will be completed. Can't wait to try it out ☺️

I usually see these type of games as horror nowadays so I’m happy that this game isn’t horror
This game is definitely inspired by many other things, closest i can name is Parappa (thanks darsterz i knew it looked familiar!) the art and music is phenonemal, the environment is soooo fascinating and the mechanics are simple yet very experimental and fit with the rest of the story. I'm glad you're playing it during it's big and well deserved hype and popularity, loved it Neena!! XD
