@Raptor, the plash-palatka is literally a tent/coat. IRL it was used both as a tent and as a coat, also as a blanket, bed cover, weather shelter, camouflage, to carry wounded and to cover from weather. I don't know why it contains ammo in the game. Budinovka (properly pronounced as Bud'yonovka) isn't a helmet. It's a soft hat that was used by the Red army mainly during the civil war since the year 1919 and was replaced by ushanka in 1940.
You were right about the battleship part of the SU-100Y... It had a 130mm gun pulled from naval gun production. I'm not sure what type of ship but still a big friggin gun for anything on land!
I learned a LOT from your play through just now. my strategy is to move the "hidden arty" by tractor into the forest to the left, snipers on left and right with all AT shooters at the front line, I barely had anything to the right flank as the majority of all tanks inbound i saw from your video are largely from the middle or left, by repositioning your best gun you eliminate the huge wave of tanks, after surviving this I moved the special tank along the left flank and behind the enemy lines it was de-tract around the middle top and surrounded by infantry bug. i just moved a squad up and eliminated them and used an AT grenade to wrap up the level. I found a move frontal defensive was a better approach and found like you that trying for a traditional company of heroes style did not work well. getting entire squads to lay mines by selecting the entire squad they'll have over 100 AP mines which using right mouse you can lay in minutes, i did not even focus on the wood laying part of the level, and still only having 3/5 dummy at guns was still able to steam roll.
A massive shame that this doesn't have the first person direct control mode from Call to Arms. Combined with a dynamic campaign, that would be almost the perfect WWII experience.

i kinda like it its like really life. even if u have a gun with 200mm pen for instance and the tank is 30mm frontal armor. There would still be a chance it wouldnt pen by numberous of reasons
@@blastaq4267 ...like what? When you go beyond a certain point, there just isn't any way at all for the armour to survive. It's like shooting a pistol at a tin can. Something like a Panzer II shouldn't be able to bounce the Russian 45mm at just a hundred meters unless you hit the armour at an *extreme* angle, it just isn't possible.

Shell not being fired right but spinning out of formation. The shell hitting a weird sport like the drivers hatch what is pointing out of the tank which is 20mm of extra armor. Also the angle chances if u fire from a lower position or higher position. Things like that would affect irl

The two bombers at 35:35 appear to be Do-17s. Older, slower, and about half the bomb load as compared to the He-111. They were called the "Flying Pencil".

nice game but hate all the micro managment in this game, it not really a wargame, no moral, orders, just a klick freast. Have a look at Combat mission a far better wargame.
Seems as one dimentional and stupid as many other combat games. The real effect of minefields is to prohibit or slow enemy access in an area, to funnel the enemy attack into prepared killing zones. Not to kill lots of soldiers and tanks. When a mine field is detected, the enemy will either go around it or take the time to clear it. NOT! just continue through it and suffer the losses. The same with AA and rear gunners effect on attacking aircraft. The IRL effect is it forces the attacker to attack from further away etc lessening their effectiveness. NOT pretend like there’s no AA and get shot down. So tired of these kinds of stupid arcade AI-bot behaviour.
is it imposible to hit "pause" and give commands in such a situation? If not .. the game is garbage ..if possible you are incapable^^^ As an explanation .. all such games I ever played had this option because human has not the option to give 1000 commands in milliseconds like the AI has!

130mm is probably a destroyer/light cruiser gun or coastal gun

Just played this, a lot of fun! Really nice animation and intense fight. Though I think armor penetration could be tweaked a bit.
