Those are some great cards, Dan! I like how you’re focused on what you want in your collection and how you’re willing to let some go in order to get there. Respect my friend and good luck with the sales.
Thanks Hugo! I’m trying to change my method of collecting. It’s going to be a long road by buy the time I sell the cards I’ve identified my collection moving forward will all be iconic cards. That’s the goal at least 🤷♂️
just ... wow... it'd be great to have any of those cards in my collection... as far as "fit" though, the 69 Mantle is a card i'll eventually try to pick up because i'm building a 69 set, but i don't think i'll be able to swing anything as nice as the one you listed. and love those Bums from Brooklyn, up until the day they left and travelled west, so i really like the Reese Rookie! really great cards Dan! good luck!!!
@@OlSargeCollects You mean really old cards, Mine are from 1980's to about 2012! Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle those must be worth a Lot! *My Card Collection: Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken, Kent Hrbek, Mark McGwire, JErry Rice, Cris Carter and more!*
I watched Graig's video earlier about what we feel, are HOF worthy sport cards, and some of my favorites, are, the combos -which you're selling off. 😅 So, I would be interested in if I didn't have them. But I understand. Sometimes it is, the right time to move on. You could always buy it back one day or upgrade, or down grade. Same thing. I guess. If you ever miss them. I hear you on some of Brooks Robinson's 1960's Topps. Though I think his 2nd year 1958 Topps...yikes. Even Brooks wasn't a fan or should be. Lol. You're one of the few people that, has a bit of a deeper understanding and insight for ''eye appeal.'' Since you have a photography back ground. Probably, could do a whole series on what makes certain designs stand out more than others. Such as, Top 5 or Top 10 Bowman and Topps design.
Andrew I feel like you totally get me! Yeah that is a good idea for a video. There are a lot of opinions out there about best sets of the 60s and 70s. I’m too critical on both from a photographers point of view. I’ve got some of my old pictures from when I worked at the newspaper. Maybe I should do a video 🤷♂️
@@OlSargeCollects Hope you do. Because I won't. But I would. If I were to. I just find the ''eye appeal'' words or phrase funny. I get it. They are just saying the card looks amazing to their eye. I am not married. But, if I were or went on a date to an Art Museum, which DC has...I don't think saying the paintings have great eye appeal would make me look like I know what I am saying. There's got to be a reason that makes the painting special other than me just saying so. Lol.
Sarge! What a phenomenal collection! I wish you the best of luck with your auction!
Thanks Sammy!!
Wow! Again some great cards Dan!! Wow again!!!! Good luck on your sales!!!
I’ve done pretty good with the recent sales. I’m skipping one week to get caught up and then I’ll be back at it selling some cards

It would be difficult for me to sell those cards. Can’t wait to see the cards you are going to get from the sales! Great video!
Thanks Rob! I have some big cards in mind to get from the sales. You’ll have to wait until the month end recap.
Cool stuff Dan! Will be fun to see what you turn these sales into
Thanks Austin!! 🫡

Thanks so much Orlando!! 🫡
you definitely have some good stuff here buddy! moving your mantles???!?!?!? going to make some collectors very happy!
Hey Mike! Yeah I’m taking my collection to new heights. It’ll be a long road to get there but it’ll be fun!
I like the '64 set as well, but the backs...no so much. The colors are so hard to read. Nice variety of vintage you have.
I like that set too. And fair point about the back being tough to read.
Yep I completely agree with how you feel on the 64 Topps. Thanks for checking this one out Drew
