A detailed description of the bar muscle up is good. muscle Up Bar recommends more explanation. In particular, the explanation using the box is very easy to understand. good!
That's not a glide kip. Glide kip is formal gymnastics. It starts with a big swing with straight arms and then as you approach the terminal point you perform a pike (toes to bar). As you swing back you throw you legs down. If you do it correctly you arrive at the top of the bar with some forward momentum and arms still straight. What you're demonstrating is just a cross fit bar kip.
Just to be clear - this is not a muscle up. It is a kipping move. At best those doing CrossFit can call it a CrossFit MU. CrossFit should stop calling this a muscle up - it isn’t. It’s a kipping/momentum move that would be better called a kipping Glide or hip momentum swing. Gymnasts do the best kipping move - the glide kip - they don’t call it a MU because it isn’t. It requires momentum to achieve as opposed to strength. A muscle up is a move requiring strength to achieve. Most people start by having to kip - then they improve strength by training proper form (trying to minimise kip) - eventually the kip is removed and a muscle up is achieved. This is a progression towards a muscle up.
Relax. If you line up a 100 people, literally 1 or none can do this. Give credit when it’s due. If you listen to the video patiently he has NOT glossed over the “glide kip” bit. It gets due attention.
I’ve trained CrossFit too many years ago theyre fucking up to break and injured their body, most every athletes gets injured but CrossFit is the worst for injures , if you really want a real muscle up go to gymnastic school or calisthenics they explain to you the right form with no Kipping
14:05 "for the strict pull-ups..." I didn't see any strict pull-ups. Your shoulders were rounded. Strict pull up starts with retracted scapula and depressed shoulders and ends with the chest at the bar... anyways, you mentioned the name of this movement in the video. Glide up. You're welcome :D
that ski erg lat exercise is so creative, love it

How many pull ups you do a day?
crossfit muscle ups are not real muscle ups😂 you cant count those reps
Always that one dude😹
imao ist your kipping too excessive.... i mean yeah its ok for crossfitters but not very healthy and its uncontrolled, so not very nice to watch
This is so dumb haha
This is NOT a muscle up. A MUSCLE up requires muscle not swinging. Sloppy CrossFit.
