i like what u did with the rads i always took a sawzall to them. sorry to tell u but u left a nice chunck of #2 copper on that compresser btw love ur videos
Not true about the auto shop, some shops do not do AC repair at all, and others simply will not service anything but cars. AND ANOTHER THING THERE IS NO SERVICE PORT ON A DEHUMIDIFIER SO THERE IS NO WAY TO RECOVER THE REFRIGERANT. They are factory filled and fill tubes are capped off and soldered shut. Sorry bro they probably drilled a hole in it somewhere and vented it into the atmosphere (illegal and carries a $50k fine) or it is still full but do not spread this misinformation about the refrigerant. These units need to go a proper disposal center.
Thank you for speeding Planed Obsolescence & fake environmentalism, that results in people feeling good about surrendering private property, that is then dumped into the environment. Corporations control the activist groups so that people like you will spreed their propaganda.
You certainly can recover the refridgerant. Look up: Imperial PT-109 Refrigerant Recovery Tool. This plus a refrigerant recovery machine and an EPA cert (state dependent) you can recover the gases and sell them. It's not rocket science, just get your certification and you're good to go.
Good job on the vid. Pretty informative especially about having refridge drained. Watching you struggle with the vise was painful.
I like your idea for stripping the motor.
Components can be worth more on ebay, capacitors, motors and control boards or you can use the parts in other applications like relays.
Just one small peice of advise” screw down the vise so it don’t move on you hacksawing 😂

Man..bolt down the vice!
Don't forget to pick up all the garbage you threw on the floor...
I would have left all that steel on the plastic and just scrap it as shred, that way u get rid of the plastic with having to worry about recycling it.
does the scrap yard recycle ♻️ plastic?
best scrapper next to Mike the scrapper
