Hey thanks for watching. This is an older video but should have some relevent information . I may end up doing a new series on it ua-cam.com/video/7i17jvrIjD0/v-deo.html
arggghh 1:03 thankyou, I have been tearing my hair out with this! had been getting agitated that i could even find where the Wifi SSID settings were, tried config and manage and all sorts of things on the screen, but newer did my field of vision notice in the very bottom left corner another cogwheel - arggggh why isn't that grouped with all the other icons at the top of the left column instead of splitting it. i also miss the old tplink switch firmware LAN connector icons that lit up the whole port in colour instead of tiny eye-straining dots within the ports..... *sigh*
Can you have two different EAP610's with two diffencent SSID's? I have one on the first floor and I am going to put on on the second floor....and want to broadcast a different SSID
Hey agent Cody banks been having nat strict issues on net gear night hawk m1 did everything for port forwarding but can only use udp or tcp not both didn't know if it matters.any solutions.thanks young agent Cody banks
Would this work if you didn't use a Tp-link router? I went omada over unifi (cost, home network) then realised I needed features from pfSense. I think the tlr-605 could be so good but the hardware is better then the omada software
Hey Cody, I have a diy Omada system at my house set up. I try to configure separate networks with vlans. However when I try connecting to this with a device it says no internet connection. Do you have any advice?
Pretty straightforward but it doesn't seem to work with my r-605 and eap245 combo. I had the omada controller and noticed it was much more feature rich but not as performant so I reverted to managing the units individually For example, there is no way to force update DHCP like you did in the video so I tried rebooting the entire router instead. The vlan setup however, just won't allow me to have internet connectivity on my wifi devices once the vlans are setup!
hi Cody. I just have a question which might just require a yes or no answer... and I hope you could spare a time to answer. Does Omada SDN support a PPPoE server configuration? if not, what is the nearest configuration to a PPPoE?
I noticed a different behavior of the solution. When I configured it at home, with all dynamic IP, all VLANs worked, but when I took it to work and put the static IP on the WAN, the Guest VLAN got the correct IP, but could not access the Internet. The default VLAN which is getting IP and DNS from Windows Server, only worked when I enabled DHCP from R605. The domain controller's DHCP did not give access to the Internet, both on the Guest VLAN with active DHCP and on the LAN without active DHCP. I didn't have time to dig deeper, but why is this happening? Shouldn't my default VLAN work since it's on the same broadcast domain as the native LAN where all machines in the domain work? Sorry for the Google translator.
Hello, thanks for your excellent videos. Some questions remain for me: When I create multiple VLANs on my Omada controller and also multiple SSIDs on my Omada access points, don't I have do assign multiple tagged VLAN IDs to my switches? I am missing this step. I did not find any setting to assign multiple VLAN IDs tagged to switch ports...on conventional environments I would have to do this... Does Omada automatically assign ALL created VLANs to ALL switch ports? Thanks in advance, Markus
Hey Love your videos and thanks so much for all the information! I do have a quick question, for a home setup would it be possible to use only the router(TP-Link ER605/TL-R605)+cloud controller(TP-LINK OC200)+2 AP´s (TP-Link EAP235 each with its own POE injectors) BUT using an unmanaged switch (TP-Link LS1008G)? If I´m not going to setup an advance levels of access between devices?
Is there a part 4. Looking to see how you connected the eap225 wireless to the network.
Really appreciated the 3 videos for setting up Omada. Hope you will reconsider doing a firewall video (part 4). Thanks.

I just watched your 3 OMADA videos. Thanks! It's a first good overview. Now I will watch some more in detail videos to set it up.
such a great series, hope this will be finished ...
where is part 4 video ? ill be happy to give a one time donation if need be. i just need to finish the setup
Im having issues casting across ssids/vlans.
Any thoughts on that?
Very informative video. Plsss make the video of different authentication for the wifi portal

Just what I needed, will you do videos about TP-Link Vigi?
Where is the next video dude?
as soon as I set the wireless network to be enabled to the VLAN that I created, it will kick off all wireless devices until I disable the vlan?
for some reason my VLAN2 guest WIFI is unable to get ip allthough i have checked vlans on both wired and wireless networks
Hey do you have any experience running the omada controller in the cloud? Are you able to adopt access points?
very good vids..if I have a router/modem already what is my connection to the ER605..what port to what port , I can figure the rest out
Can you have two different EAP610's with two diffencent SSID's? I have one on the first floor and I am going to put on on the second floor....and want to broadcast a different SSID
Great video except I cannot get the portal to work on my mobile phone. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I just get a blank white screen.

I followed your guest portal instruction but it didn't redirect me to the portal log in? What do I do?

hi do you have video how to block wifi sharing in my er605 and oc200 wifi voucher thnks if you read my message..
Can you limit the time of guess can connect in the wifi?

I cannot connect to my new WLANs. Ive double checked the passwords and SSIDs. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
may I know the list of hardware that you used here sir? :) thank you
Can you suggest TP Link access point with Instagram guest authentication method.
Where is the firewall guide
I have a firewall guide from before but never did a 3rd video for this as there was not much interest
@@MactelecomNetworks So disappointing. Please reconsider doing the 4th video for Firewall set up.

You make it a trunk port and allow certain vlans
@@davidprice378 How please?

yes
How do I restrict IOT VLAN form accessing internet on Omada?
How to. Clears log event history
Link model ?
Im in a "loop" among videos trying to find the video where he explains how to add rules for vlan ports... man what a pain in the ash...
👏👏🏿👏🏿
No 🤮
