The original voice of Timothy was by Edward Brophy, an actor in many films from the 1930’s and 1940’s, including “The Champ”(playing a character named Tim!) and “Wonder Man”. He also provided Timothy’s narration in the Disney Storyteller record album of Dumbo in 1957. The voice we hear now in the deleted scene is probably either Corey Burton, who was Timothy in tv’s House of Mouse, or Chris Edgerly who did new announcements as Timothy in the Dumbo rides at the parks. In any case, I wish they had explored using this scene in the original film, as so much of the concept of encouraging Dumbo was in the song.
@Elijah Hechtman Why them? I thought about it, and I'm a little more sure that this was Chris Edgerly than Corey Burton, since Timothy sounds a bit like Scuttle (the seagull from The Little Mermaid), and not so much like the Corey Burton characters I know.
i still wonder why they cut this, this was an alternative scene from the "drunk" scene about the pink bubble elephants and this is more for children, probably they wanted to make the story more sadness so in the end people will be more happy
Well, somehow they found a drunk flying elephant who sees pink bubble elphants more fittable than a flying elephant inspired by a mouse. And thumbs up if this reminds you about "Are you men of mice?!" line from "Are You In Or Out" song.
I think it has a modern feel to it because the production (instrumental arrangement and vocals) is modern. The melody and lyrics are from the 40s, though.

You forgot Corey Burton in Seiya! Mickey's All-Stars for a voice acting.

This certainly would’ve made the movie less depressing.
disney songs sound so sweet and nostalgic
dang, i wonder why they cut this. it's very fun and positive. has a very modern feel to it, too.

I'm actually glad this was cut from the script. Trying to imagine it in the movie just feels out of place.
I'm glad too.
I love Timothy, he does an excellent job of singing this :)

I guess pink elephant hallucinations was a better idea than this...
This song is better than Pink elephants
Why deleted this? It's meaningful.

You Mean The Lion And The Mouse
Could I use this melody for a song for a movie?
