When I was a kid, I discovered my birthday money was missing and ruled out every possibility except my best friend. It was very hard to ask her but I said "Just give it back, apologize and I'll forgive you." She made me feel terrible for asking, but later it was confirmed and she simply admitted it. I lost a friend over something that really doesn't matter (I got the money back) so, yeah; I could see forgiving infidelity (of those who were unfaithful, there seems to be a trend of 'I didn't say we were exclusive' BS going on.) Next time I saw her was 2 years later, it was like talking to a stranger (we had been friends most of my life, she taught me how to kiss; I wish we had remained friends into high school.)
