Being single is a learning lesson. To see if you're ok alone. I've thought about this, I don't know if I'm ready for a relationship. Too many mind games, lies, lack of maturity, loyalty, etc. Dating these days just is so complicated. People don't have the best intentions. I like my freedom. It's all crazy. You got to be your best self first

    • @kendrick8749
      @kendrick8749 2 роки тому +1

Its crazy tho. I enjoy being alone so much but I know this will not be my long term life and I have to get out of that comfort zone. Im great alone and I fear that if I vibe too much with another woman, I'll miss that part of me. Life is so damn hard.

    • @kekedouluvm3109

@@kendrick8749 I like being alone too, to a certain degree. Starting not to like people. Second that, Life is Hard, I'm realizing that everyday. Relationships are hard bc you can't control other people.

I can honestly say I'm not ready for any relationship not because of having issues with men but because I've tried settling meaning settling for less or I've tried not having a preference but I realized there are too many people both men and women who has a lot of issues that they refuse to deal with that need to be dealt with in there single season instead of masking it by getting into something they aren't ready for if they are really, really honest with themselves. I'm choosing not to be like that and just working on myself and relationship with God. But there would be less pain and hurt if we work on ourselves first

I’m now currently in a relationship after being single for a long time and I can confidently say that they’re both great places to be in. A lot of it depends on where you’re at in your own life and what you truly want out of life. I think that for a lot of people you want always be entirely ready for a relationship cuz at the end of the day it is a risk that you have to take. Same thing goes for a new job or going to higher education, or having kids. There will never be that moment when you’re entirely ready, but there will be that moment when you just know that it’s entirely worth it. These are just my thoughts on the subject and I really enjoyed this video. And as far as the playing games subject you just can’t play games when it comes to relationships, and I think that’s why mine has worked out and has been going well:)

After being in a relationship for two years I had to take some time for myself because I learned he was not ready to be in a relationship because I caught him cheating.and I needed to remove myself and take care of myself for awhile. I have been single for 4 years to take some time for me and prepare myself for the next relationship.

So I watched this video snippet today that was titled, "all I have to offer is p#$$y and it led me to self reflect....I don't have anything to bring to a relationship outside of that bc my true authentic love right now is buried in bitterness, hurt, and resentment. Your commentary is very digestible and in alignment with the aforementioned video, self development emotionally is key so that way you are already complete before intertwining with another.

It was nice. We have a misunderstanding of the "friendship zone" concept, and because one small principle is avoided, it will lead to something worse...
But from the moment that we learn that "any relationship based in necessity will lead to controlling", we will need to evaluate ourselves...
Everything starts from the inside out... Be free, be healed, be found, be happy then we will have ways to love the others...

I learned from mine but it is good to hear of others, like yours so that i can also lesrn from and use as a template to my own life, so that i can also learn, be more mindful of what i want in a person and how i should be treated when it cones to RESPECT...and to help be aware of taking good care of our minds and our hearts. Amen preach it brother!!! Your spouse is there to reveal and expose who you are. So before you all jump into a relationship please make sure you know who you are, heal before finding your spouse and know your purpose before the relationship. Most times relationship problems are singleness problems ... figure out you before you can figure out us. Your spouse can't love you if you do not love yourself because what ever you are filled with is all you have to give to that person. They can't fulfill a place in your heart that only God can! love is a verb not a feeling!!!

You hit the nail on the head with this one. I have seen folks jumping in and out of relationships for so many different reasons, but not have the right intentions. Most of the time it boils down to people not knowing or taking the time to learn their worth. You can't learn your worth if you don't take some time to be single. You have to learn yourself inside and out. I can't and won't judge anyone, because it's not my place, and we are all imperfect...but I will say I'm grateful to be able to be happy while single. Another thought...most folks aren't taught to know or learn their worth either.

I strongly believe that it is not healthy to enter into any relationship expecting the other person to make you happy or give you peace within yourself. To some extent, you have to already have that within yourself and do the work to maintain that. Your partner's role is to not take away, support you in maintaining those things, and more. It does not mean you will never struggle. All of us are still a work of art being painted. However, I believe there has to be self-growth before and even during to sustain a healthy functioning relationship on both ends. Great Video!

My last relationship I felt like I needed to get out of bc I was growing in another direction. I literally felt like my spirit was pulling me the opposite direction. I listened to myself and I’ve been pulled in the direction of healing! It’s a lot of hard work (self work). But my outcome has been wonderful for me and the ppl around me. So I do enjoy being single it’s been a while I just noticed listening to your video. And I’m still ok and happy being single. I have been on dates and have had a good time. But I think I am just ready to continue dating I don’t want nothing forced. But you brought up some good points! I enjoyed it and gave me some things to look out for while dating.

All what you put out come from inner stability and knowing who you are and what your boundary lines you have set for yourself. Also, of course, experiencing the unexpected paths the life has lead you to whether you wanted them or not. You are still young, but there's a lot of peacefulness and stability of mind here. Thanks for sharing. Gently you are helping others. Authentic!

I think what we also forget to discuss is dealing with your life traumas prior to jumping into a relationship. I notice that's not discussed often. Your partner is not your automatic Therapist who's conveniently there to take on all your past hurt just because you choose not to address it in your own life. That's your responsibility before even thinking about adding anyone into the equation. That's a lot to expect someone else to take on. You cannot "Love and Sex" your pain away. That is like putting a bandage on an open wound which will eventually bleed over into your relationship. We have to start being realistic about that.

Ok, backdrop was great for this topic. It made me pay close attention. ( marketing) Lighting really caught my eye. It worked beautifully with your complexion.
Topic- forever evolving...lol No it was great! I am one of those that has never been married and no children @ 47yrs old. So, yes naturally, I have been raked over EVERY hot-bed of coals available w/ my family.
But the same issues remain & the complaints are the same...the lack of consistent pressure on both sides. My brothers argue, well, we show the interest, stay consistent, apply the pressure, and get played. My sistas are stating, low/ to minimum effort, then its all go, then its wait, then the drop-off (games).
I have to be conscious of the fact that it is true, after 40, you are NO LONGER TOLERANT OF BS...LOL AT ALL. So, I actively listen, don't judge, but when I tell you, these men are not getting past 2 weeks of conversation LAWD! RELATIONSHIP W/ WHO THE LORDT! Lol, Basically I am saying that being an avid reader, motorcycle rider, close w/ family/ friends, traveler, adventurer, music/arts lover etc., I truly believe that "my person" will at least be one of those things. We'll be able to build on that and explore the rest. But ready, I truly am, but I am here to tell you that ( a number of ) men & women are certainly bringing the "Representative" to the table. Believe what you see, not what you hear!
    Til next time Mr. CJ

I truly wish I would have enjoyed my singleness. Kids made me feel like I had to force a commitment even when I wasn't happy.

Corey, when you get engaged again, may I interview you (with or without your fiancé)? I have SO many questions, and I'd like to hear it from a young, successful man who was once married and is choosing to marry again.

I am firm believer in Men leading with Dating - when you as a woman shoot your shot it’s bound to backfire unless it’s on the basketball court - sure return his calls -absolutely but don’t lead it . Be involved in your life your plan - he can’t be your entire life . That’s wack .
