I am 76. Have loved Sha Na Na with JC. FOR YEARS .loved the music style of the 50's and 60's. I listened to the originals of some of your songs and sang along with some of them.
I am from South Africa. I was just a pre-teen when Sha Na Na showed on a Wednesday night just before eight on our local television station. I honestly think you were my first crush and used to feel cheated when Johnny did not sing. Loved your voice! It's good to know you are still around living your passion.
I would have loved to hear you sing when you were around 6 and early teens.I had My daughter listened to Sha-Na-Na’s version of Unchained Melody . She loved it. She said she never heard it sung like that before. God bless.
I watched Sha-Na-Na all the time.I loved your high pitch. Even my 5 small kids watched especially my 2 little girls. I still listen to your songs today. You have a beautiful voice. I just saw this sight. A few years late lol. I would have loved to have taken your vocal course. I can harmonize by ear. I just need to have better technique and fine tuning. I’m 73 now . I used to sing alto to tenor in school. I can still hit some of the high notes. Ty for all your songs you have shared with us all these years.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED SHA NA NA!! I WOULD SIT IN FRONT OF THE TV WITH MY TAPE RECORDER AND RECORD EVERY EPISODE. JOHNNY WAS MY FAVORITE. TO THINK NOW I CAN LEARN TO SING LIKE HIM!! WOOOHOOO!
Johnny, I love you. I used to record Sha-na-na on my cassette player next to my b&w 13” tv. I always wanted to sing like you. You (and Speed Racer) are my hero(es) 🙏🏼

Welcome!! You are the only one voice than make me cry and put an smile into my face.. I need a masterclass from you.. A lot of people imited you On Those Magic Changes for example.. I made a performance about Grease and always see you.. You are my inspiration🙏🌺
I wish I had a singing voice. Listening to Johnny now- I was in my early teens when Shanana was on TV- is like listening to an old friend. It's so neat hearing him describe his beginnings in this personal video. Good luck teaching, Johnny. Not that you need it.
I don't have a singing voice, either! I was born with the gift of free-form dancing, like in the clubs, but I also acted in plays at school and summer camp. Back in the '80s, when lip-syncing became the biggest thing, I took to that instead. My memory isn't always good when it comes to remembering words from songs, but I do the best I can.
Hi Johnny,I had lunch with you,my little sister and my boss Dan Sheahan,Esq. in Glendale,Ca back in the early 80's.I have a pic of you with me and sis. Your were so humble when I met you and I was very impressed by that,so real :). Keep up the great work.{{{HUGS}}} Linda
I sent Johnny an email, telling him his website expired, and he told me to go to his Facebook website. I thanked him and told him I always enjoyed his work. He answered: "Thanks, Doll. Stay safe." I wasn't prepared for that, and my face turned bright red! If I had the opportunity, I'd ask him if I could give him a hug! I don't think he'd mind!
We are very interested to hear all about you and your life! This is a fabulous idea! We loved your songs and your singing in Sha Na Na! We can’t get enough! Thank you so much!!
Mr. C - I come from a "Barbershop Family", my Grandfather's Quartet was a Mid-Atlantic Champion. My family typically sang at family gatherings. I spent a lot of my youth listening to your double LPs (dunno if I make you feel old or myself 🤣), and watching you on TV. I WANTED to be a tenor (like you), or a bass, but I'm stuck being a baratone. Sigh. Somehow, in my mid-adulthood, I have found the occasional day that I can find a reasonable falsetto. I may seem like the fawning fan, but thank you for being one of the inspirations to keep pegging away. I may just be a GOOD radio/ live host, but you are one of the inspirations to use my voice to make a dollar ... ... The fact that I learned to "hide" a speech impediment makes it even more important to me. /Ramble

I remember singing the Immaculate Mary song too at our Catholic grade school. I'll bet they thought they were hearing an angel. You were blessed with a superior voice and natural performing talent. You were meant to be an entertainer. It's great you can take this knowledge and teach others. Who better? They will be getting instruction from the very BEST.:o)
@@LisaKoffler A few yrs back he actually answered a question I asked. So I can honestly say I exchanged words with Johnny Contardo. I didn't know the site expired. Maybe he had enough of it.
