So the structural demographic cycle of crash and reset runs in accord with the feigenbaum constant each time it reaches the bifurcation point.
Then the technology improves expinentially faster, which means food supply potential increases along with technological capacity, so the popupation grow also follows the same growth until it reaches the feigenbaum constant and stability bifurcates.

I'm from Brazil and I can tell we can experience all these symptoms right here aswell. Sky high rate of unemployment, extraordinary ammounts of college graduates competing for minimum wage jobs, inflation, and the status quo struggling to take down a president wich represents the masses' rage. I will need to read the book that describes the psi index, because I can't figure out how things like the mass population index or elite mobilization index or state fiscal distress index can be numerically expressed in such a way as to make them precise tools. What confidence interval can one expect for something like psi?
I think this is mainly due to technology causing differences in wealth and creating a more competitive society. These things are happening everywhere even in regions that are underpopulated like Canada or Australia. What's happening is automation and increased competition has created an economy dependent on raw brain power and run by a small technocratic elite. The difference in status between those who can compete and those who can't has reached extreme levels, this also explains mgtow or herbivore men in Japan since women primarily decide who is marriageable. The pool of men women are willing to marry is smaller because differences in status have become larger.
This may be a factor. It does not necessarily deny the basic logic of Goldstone's model. Fears about the effects of technology existed in previous times. The elites used to have more children than the peasants well above the carrying capacity especially for employment this caused downwards mobility for their offspring, that's not the case anymore. Most of the elites you're talking about competing for jobs are actually the middle and working classes. The middle class now needs a university education to get any kind of employment and it's always worse than what their parents got with far less education.
