    "Dina, I have learned something significant." LOL at their stilted dialogue and the overuse of certain words and phrases.

      Carrie Heffernan lol “In case you forgot.” “I’ll see you in court.”

      You could make a drinking game out of all the times Jill uses the word "function" during her first divorce from John. All of those clips are right here on YT!

      Kevin Eagle yup and the word “ludicrous” was used ad nauseam referring to Jill’s demands. I think Ashley used the word three times in one scene lol

    when Procter and Gamble sponsored a lot of the episodes :)

    • @laminage
      @laminage 4 роки тому +3

      Proctor & Gamble didn't own The Young & Th e Restless or The Bold & The Beautiful. Bill Bell had indirect ties to Proctor & Gamble, when he helped Co-Create Another World in 1964 that sponsored many of it's shows back in the day.

      @R Which is why I'm glad he got fired. Just hope the next guy can give longtime viewers what they really want and not the mess we've been abridged to this year.

    Marla Adams once Modeled for the Late Fashion Designer Halston back in the day. Deep down Dina wanted to leave no matter what. She wasn't happy with her life and I think now she has Alzheimer's.

      debra king Jill was devious and Gloria was plain coco. I still prefer Jill over Dina.

      Dani Lang: Jill over Dina was better for him. Look at Dina now on Y&R all those affairs she had & now claiming John Abbott was not Jack or Ashley's Father.

      Back in the 80s John had a fierce temper. This was before TGVN stole his spotlight and they just toned John down in deference to him.

    Wow, with Dina back now its nice to see her and John younger considering I was only 6 when this aired!

    How does this fit in to what's currently happening on YR? So Dina left John because of an "affair" John had with his secretary?

    • @bratton79
      @bratton79 4 роки тому +6

      No. Dina was the one sleeping around. She abandoned John and their children years earlier because married life and motherhood simply didn't suit her. Apparently when Dina thought John was stepping out on her, she made up her mind to leave though. Soaps like to revise history a little bit here and there for storyline purposes.

    • @laminage
      @laminage Рік тому +1

      @@bratton79 Also John found out his Former Secretary who was in love with him told Dina about her and him and it was one big fat lie. Dina then decided to leave. When John found out the truth he was beyond furious but Dina also has to take some accountability, she wanted to leave and Audrey gave her the ammunition.

    They should have done that. Kind of funny though, to see Marla and Constance both here, when Conboy and Bell had such a bad parting (of course Bell still cast several Capitol actors, like Jess Walton and Todd Curtis, so I guess he didn't care).

    I remember the story but not this scene. Thanks. And such good quality. Poor Marla though, putting her in an outfit the same color as her hair.

    I remember her. I think she was only in about two episodes. Kind of a waste of Constance Towers, but Sunset Beach did the same. I guess this got her noticed enough again to land GH.

      Very true! Since Bill Bell stopped as writer, the show hasn't been the same..I loved the 80's and 90's!!! I wish I could get full episodes of the older shows..
