The B48 and EA888 are the engines to get in the class. Both have had the 'kinks' worked out and are very reliable overall. And particularly the EA888 can be serviced for peanuts.
Nah it really isn't an issue. It happens to most of the m260s yes. But ive never experienced one not covered by warranty. As soon as you notice misfires you bring it in to the dealer. You get a loaner for a week and everything is fine.
@@stevekuehltruhe most did get covered under warranty as the engine wouldn’t last through the warranty period. But some out there that haven’t had the job done. Now imagine someone buys that used motor and have this issue out of warranty. That’s what I’m hoping to warn people on.
I watched the whole thing and it wax very interesting!!! Now i trade in a GLC 300 18’ I4 engine for a 2021 GLC 43 AMG V6!!!! Please tell me i got a good engine? And if there’s something I should know about it? The reason why a 2021 and not a 24/25? The new GLC 43 is not a V6 anymore!!! Is a I4 engine with electrified turbos!!! That was a big no no for me!!!! Thx!! And i like the videos by the way!!i
Hey mate, thanks for watching! Excellent choice, your Mercedes has a much much better engine. More fun to drive and one of MB’s long running solid motors. Well done!
@ Thank you 🙏🏻!!! It makes me feel good the i picked a good one!! And excellent channel by the way!! Ill subscribe and follow keep up the great work and content!
I have C43 2019.. driven hard for almost 80k miles now.. 0 issues so far.. dont even need extra oil changes.. would say most reliable engine on the market since it is fairly underpowered 287kw from 6 cylinder is fairly low
@ What do you meant with extra oil changes? Isn’t 10k or once a year according to Mercedes Benz the service? Please explain!! Again is my first amg so i would like to know from people the had them for while! I want to take care of it the best possible cause i think this is the last car im buying in my lifetime!!! Thx!
Makes no sense to buy a Mercedes anymore, you can buy any new BMW with any engine and it will be reliable, at the same time, you have way better build quality if this is something important to you. Also, from CR, mercedes has a lot of time consuming small issues you need to adress if you buy one... like errors, small things that fall off... it's sad to see where Mercedes is rn.
@@TheTom7 very sad to see MB down in the trenches. Certainly for me growing up, it was one of the coolest brands.. and it just slowly declined to where it is now. I hope they can get back to their glory days. But I’m not too optimistic.
@@gnoccialpesto I’m not a huge fan of the Merc/ Renault/nissan partnership. If I’m buying a MB product, I’d like it to be entirely MB. That said, sometimes the Renault engines have proven themselves more reliable than Merc ones! 😂
Thank you for this video!
Just yesterday I was talking to a dealer about an a35 (2021)
I’m backing out right away!
Thank you brother!!

It's a Renault engine...
AFAIK all Renault engines in mercs are diesel and they are really reliable
