Sharing these great free camping opportunities is our passion. Thanks for watching. Lou
My family and I just moved from Central NY to the Charlotte area and are excited to explore Western NC. It's nice to see these videos that give a good idea of what can be expected. Thanks

@@LivingOurDreamNow we hit up Asheville, Linville, did some Old NC 105, and will definitely be spending more time out that way. We are in Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, which we will happily pass on in the future. 😆
Your videos are absolutely gold nuggets. I live in central NC and just bought my first pop up camper. I've been hesitant to drive out to Brown Mountain during peak season. It seems the non electric campgrounds have plenty of spots open though. Thank you for the videos, you guys have been there done that for sure.
Samuel, Comments like this one encourage us to keep making our videos. Go in the middle of the week for the best pick of campsites. We surely look forward to returning to North Carolina to explore some of the free camping opportunities in western North Carolina. Be sure to activate the notification bell, so you don't miss our next video. Thanks for watching. Lou
If you want some really great campground reviews check out:" Eating Good In The Woods" UA-cam channel. He covers campgrounds all over N.C. and surrounding areas.
All I could think when I saw the trash at the bathroom was bears. You want bears? That's how you get bears.
This is a beautiful spot. 😊
I live in this area. Great places to camp and visit. Be careful, at times there are shall we say nefarious people visiting here. Enjoy but be safe.
Beautiful area! We have not done much exploring around North Carolina...but this place is only about 6 hours away. Plan a road trip with stops from Middle Tennessee all the way there sounds like a plan. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you so much for making this video. Your awesome 👍Good Vibes👣
Thanks for watching! You kind words are much appreciated. Lou
Hello. I want to do some dispersed camping in Pisgah National Forest. I watched a couple of your videos of that national forest and I was wondering which one you would recommend. I have a Chrysler Town and Country van. Looking for a nice one with just a picnic table and fire ring. Thank you. Love watching your videos they are great videos.
If you have a nimble camping configuration, Old NC 105 hands down. Lots to do nearby. Thanks for watching! Lou
@@LivingOurDreamNow Thank you Lou. That one and Brown Mountain I had written down to stay at. Thank you so much for your recommendation. Oh by the way I will be wintering in Florida which is my favorite state. So I will be on top of those videos of yours of Florida's best campgrounds and places to stay. Again thank you so much for your videos. I love how you describe and show everything. Safe travels to you my friend.
Nice job! Enjoy and can't wait to see more.
More to come!
I want to hug you for putting the cords in the description!

You’re welcome 😊
Ido hate to see people leave the trash there. I have seen a couple of your videos. I look forward to seeing more. I am wondering if any of these areas are closed and if these areas are open year round. thx
The Brown Mountain Dispersed Camping Area was open at the time of my visit. Thanks for watching!
Nice tour. Thanks

Sad to See the Disrespectful generation had visited..Sad..Beautiful and Thank you for sharing..A Must visit..
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for your feedback Patrick. Much appreciated.
I have a 13" regatta whiteduck tent. Those pads seem to small. Can you pitch a tent outside the pad?
I don't recall. I would not think that would be an issue here. Lou
Notice it says off road trail system so it's usually a lot of 4 wheelers and off road vehicles on the weekends.
The off-roading staging area and trail access is up at the top of the hill and away from the dispersed camping area. Thanks for watching. Lou
6:00 is just sad. Would love to see who did that
Is this close to Wise man overlook...BROWN MTN LIGHTS ?
Closer to Brown Mountain Lights than Wisemans View. The grid coordinates for Brown Mountain Dispersed camping area are: 35.894517, -81.742899 There is a closer free dispersed camping area to Wisemans View and Linville Falls on Old North Carolina 105. Check out these three additional videos on our UA-cam Channel. Wisemans View was my favorite attraction in the area.
Do you know if you are allowed to run small generators at these types of locations at night
There is a kiosk with information posted on it at the entry. Since this is an ATV staging area as well, it is likely that generator use is allowed outside of quiet hours. There is no prohibition pertaining to generator use indicated on the national forest website for the dispersed camping area at Brown Mountain Off-Road Trailhead. Hope this helps.
@@LivingOurDreamNow it does thank you kindly
I tried finding this pace and the gps got me lost lol
The grid coordinates provided in the written video description are accurate. I just tested them in Google maps. Took me right to the entrance. Lou
How do you enter the Lat/long into google maps? It keeps sending me to China lol
Copy and paste the following into Google Maps exactly as shown here: 35.894517, -81.742899
LivingOurDreamNow got it thanks!

We are liking your reviews - I like forest camping
Thanks for watching!
Hate it when people throw there trash like that 🤦🏻♂️😤
Makes the rest of us wonder what compels people to litter, especially in a free camping area. Thanks for watching! Lou
