Interesting new techniques. I like the ship of course as well as the color choices. The painting itself reminds me of some kind of hybrid Oil painting. At the end it is very nice art. Thanks Skech for doing this one for us! 😊
The seals looks make the ship on reverse…if that is the idea is ok…but if not you have to invert the seals or body ship…if on the sky that is a storm…nice on the beginning look a cave…the airbrush tool is excellent addition is a awesome tool…that will give you a turbo versus only spray painters job…I will came back to spray soon… you has been advanced a lot salu2

I love how you get that misty fog look going, such talent. Have you ever thought about doing something like a Napoleonic War era battlefield? Misty morning on an old battlefield, some nice hills and a few cannon stencils. Beautiful mountain in the background. Could look really cool with that effect

Great piece. If you round the tops of the waves or curl them over they will look less like mountains and a little more realistic. I'd still hang this on a wall. Love your art. aaaaand as I was writing this you managed to kind of fix the waves in a completely different way than I anticipated... I give up on trying to have an artistic mindset. I'm just going to enjoy the show.

Hope you (or someone) has a tutorial on what is done and why for the different effects. Appears to be similar to the Bob Ross wet on wet basics in many places.

Skech, I don't know if you meant to do it, but the cloud structure you created looks a lot like the RFD cut and wall cloud region of a supercell thunderstorm. That's my nerd way of saying that you could use that cloud technique to make a really nice tornado or waterspout. Great picture!

Hi Skech, When I use Varnish clear gloss, it makes the painting more "greyish"/"whitish". But yours still seems very clear after applying it. How come, do you know? Also, why do you flame over the painting when finishing?

You overthink your waves... you spent 10 minutes on them and they are still too pointy. They don't look natural. I have never seen a giant pointed wave go across the ocean, they all had some kind of curve to them. I did really like the boat though.

Spray painting can be easy but there's not much room for error. You can fix a mistake, but it could work out or not.

The finger swirl clouds has more dimension to it. More character. It has depth. My favorite clouds as to date.
