Yeah I did the adjustment and installed the longer JBS detent spring, I have ridden it twice at Windrock but feel as if I'm putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. Guess I'll wait and see if Kawasaki come up with a 100% fix. At least after watching your video I feel more comfortable knowing they don't have to tear half the damn engine apart to change it.
Did you torque everything back to spec? Any resource to get torque specs? Did you end up installing with the green dot facing the motor?? If so did that work? Any issues dince installing? Mine is toast and looks easy enough, just need torque specs for re assembly.
Just get rid of the issue of them going bad again, can now roll back on a hill in foward gear. You loose engine brake on steep declines, which some people never ride
I have a 2021 KRX and from day one it will sometimes jump out of high gear engine braking down steep hills. My selling dealer did not have any answer so he called another dealer that said definitely its the one way bearing, Whats you opinion? Feels more like a transmission issue to me. I do have Kawi extended warranty. Thanks for you feedback.
I read a lot of people having that same issue say that the shift linkage is out of adjustment, I think theirs a video showing how to adjust it, I would def start their it is something you can do at home and is free
Signs leading up to total failure of bearing where, a slight rattle/whine or screech on startup , loss of engine break on steep downhills, but when it completely failed it was obvious, I couldn’t idle at a complete stop with it in gear it would just stall out and a terrible grinding noice on startup

Torque specs can be found online, GREEN DOT FACES MOTOR! Learn from my mistake lol. Everything was good after this couple thousand miles later

May I ask why one would remove the one way bearing completely?

Mine did the same thing and adjusting the shift linkage solved it.
