I'm owner of this combo: Yamaha CD 3000 and amplifier A S3000. Accuphase in this price-kategorie isn't better. Believe me. Yamaha Combo sounds really fantastic!!!
Hi Rainer, I have the A-S3000 and was wondering how to connect my eq and dbx 3bx to it? Currently I have the amp Line 2 Rec to Eq line in, Eq line out to dbx in, dbx line out to Eq Tape 1 in, EqTape 1 out to amp Line 2 PB input. The eq and dbx are reading the music but I fail to hear differences in the music. Amp Input selector is at CD or Phono.
is the amp getting hot? or jast warm? Some people had to return to dealer the amp due to device getting real hot. I incline to buy accuphase e-270 just cause it is "made in japan" never see any complaint about accuphase malfunction . And besides amp yamaha as-500 that I own after 4 years started spontaneously switching on off. I have doubt about quality yamaha production now.
COMO PODER ESCUCHAR EN VIVO AL A S3000 Y AL CD S3000 SON POCOS LOS ELEGIDOS... LA SUERTE DE ELLOS ..... FELICITACIONES POR SU DECISION Y EL AUDIO DE 100 AÑOS DE YAMAHA.... EN EL AÑO 1991 SE COMPRO EL AX-1030 DE 130 WATT.RMS. POR CANAL Y SUS 19 KILOS AUN SIGUE TOCANDO COMO EN EL 1ER.DIA...
What idiot on the design departement decided that the VU meters would be bright white and the CD-display should be black. I can understand such dealings in cheap stuff, but not in a top machine with much money going in the casings.
+Mankepoot Their is a black version with black VU so. I guess just go for all black stack. I love the retro look but I really wonder if it's worth the money over the mighty impressive A-S2100 not heard them side by side.
With a black color housing you only see the white LCD display. As both variations of the amp come with the same display you have a black background on both.
Dave on the surface it looks dumb but when you factor in the primary Japanese market its ok because many Japanese audiophile still use cds and lps, plus the cd player also has a stand alone dac.
No DAC, no sub out, but its gorgeous. I've inquired at the local dealers about the A-S2100 and they always try and steer me to a Cambridge or Parasound with the Node. Anyone ran the Blue Node 2 into this unit?
Yamaha uses the same type of screen in all units from the cheaper one to the top. But as someone said, the best sound would be if you connect a turntable to that Yamaha amp. Buying so expensive CD player in these times is little crazy, but someone have to do that.
Peter Regoršek may be this cd player have better sound than standalone dacs for the same price? If so, that have sense buying good cd and usb dac 2in1. If you okay with dimension and weight
The CD 3000 is worth the money. It is a fabulous player with SACD compatibility and has an awesome DAC built in. Really awesome DAC ;) So for those who are into that the combo makes most sense. But connecting a turntable is also a good idea. Love the built in phono stage. Makes 3rd party ones useless.
I am a Vinyl lover and grew up with Vinyl, It is a myth that vinyl is better, every TT, Arm, Cartridge, and platter changes the sound of a given LP, then of course how well the TT was set, the weakest link of CD is the quality of the mastering of it and production. Same for new vinyl which does not sound like the original LP when released. No medium captures the master tape, closet is real to real pure tape playback. The system used to review in all the magazines is the past stated with a CD player as its source in the SOTA system was called superb, sound I never heard in my room before and so on, but when the trend to streaming and downloading started and boomers being vinyl lovers like myself they started to call CD playback crap instead like before SOTA. CD playback on a well-made CD player and you spend as much as on a TT, ARM, and Cartridge meaning $5,000-$20,000 you have great sound, and constant quality, limited only by the mastering of the CD. I love Vinyl but I love CD playback as much and for classical even more.
Yamaha makes great stuff ,i think it would sound better in my room instead with my pc speakers......what? yes i'am listening trough my pc speakers hearing a great setup! ....oooh sh...,you are wright mate, sorry,i am an imbecil .
why people use to blame Yamaha? I have all first models of the line and don't feel any discomfort - both treble and bass are normal. here you listen to youtube video, not to Yamaha HiFi, take into consideration.
To many hard surface echoes, a few rugs and soft furnishings would probably help. Nice gear though.
One observation I've made seeing many UA-cam videos... The more expensive and nicer the gear, the worse the music and room treatments.

Very good system! What kind of cables did you use? Thank you!
Congrats...l own this pair too....👍
Absolutelly georgeous speakers
I own this combo, it sounds terrific, indeed. The AS3000 falls a little short with my ATC 40SCM 40 mk2, a hard speaker, but I love them. Rgds
ATC speakers are power hungry like PCM speakers
How's Yamaha compared to marantz gear to the back?
Hi. Who’s the singer and CD information? Thanks
Which speakers are that?
Is this speakers are Proac am I correct?
are these proac speakers ?

buying a 7k red book cd player is dumb enough on it's own.
Jon Donnelly did you compare 3000 vs 2100 how much is flagman better?

i thought there was a pre-out for a subwoofer?...
Just buy a decent sub that has high input. What’s the problem? Most subs in the lower end have it. Geeez ...

I LOVE THE YAMAHA AMP BUT I WONDER IF IT IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO POWER MY 250WATTS PER CHANNEL SPEAKERS?
4800€for made in Malaysia?

I love it to...got em...Yamaha..!!
อย่างเราแค่ Yamaha A-S300 ก็แย่แล้วไม่ต้องถึง 3000 ...555555555555....เสียงมัน FLAT ดีจริงๆ

Sweeet
Looks fine you are the only one who gives a shir
Metal sound!
This is true definitely not. Only at this video it's sounds not good. In your home the YAMAHA plays wonderful audiophil.
Traditionally to Yamaha, a lot of treble...joyful at first, tiresome later. Is this setup worth of money compared to the competition?

+Pomocnicze Konto a generalized statement first observed on their low wattage a/v receivers
So what's the sense of videos like this?
klipsch would make this real
Sell the CD player and come on buy a turntable!!!!!
STOP this boring music
it lacks of power
+claudia33 It really doesn't, it has loads of heft I would say its down to the mic recording it.
It actually lacks a bit dynamic, according to whathifi www.whathifi.com/yamaha/s3000/review
Really NOT impressive....
Terrible music .
wow
