Thank you for the question. While the radar can be used to measure exit velo during live bp settings, we recommend off the tee or soft toss to get the most accurate readings. Due to cosign error, it is harder to capture the accurate ball speed when it travels to the left or right side of the field. It is most accurate on balls hit in a straight line. If you do set up for live bp, it would be best to set radar at least 15-20 feet from hitter to allow the ball to travel. But just be aware of the issues above on balls hit to the left or right.
