Season 1 skye and present Daisy are so different. Most people know this and I agree with most of them when I say i miss the old Skye. But I understand why her character changed, she always had trust issues because of her childhood but almost every person she loved a bit more died or betrayed her. Ward betrayed her, her mother and Father were evil especially her mother who betrayed her and died, Lincoln sacrificed himself when she had already accepted her fate and then on top of that the trauma of just friends dying and death itself. Yes I miss old skye but I don’t think it was a random change I think it was a well deserved character change, I just hope she gets a little bit of her adorableness and humor from skye back into the more badass intense Daisy.
Keoni V I definitely agree with you. When the show first started in 2013 I was trying to figure out why Skye was so important. To me, she was the tech person/comic relief. But to see her character evolve from sassy comedic techie to bada$$ super spy is really amazing. I think she still holds her comedic side even as Daisy, but the comedic aspect was a buffer that she doesn't need anymore. It's almost a sign of maturity
I think people become.... new, in a way, with each experience in their lives. Daisy in later seasons might not seem the same person as Skye was in the first season - but, that's the thing about humanity; there are always original parts of it in the mix of what each experience does to us, that changes us. Daisy, the former Skye, is a perfect example of this. Chloe Bennet is an actress who could pull this display off for us to watch... because, she understands that the core Skye is always the foundation of what the daily Daisy is - no matter what Daisy might be doing at any particular moment. The trick is to show that foundation, that core, whenever she adds on the layers of the character of Daisy. We all grow, and wear, layers; for protection, for knowledge, for growth... and for love. It's as much a part of our DNA, as our hair, or skin, or eyes... that's why, whenever you get a chance to see Daisy's eyes, you can still see that brilliant, fractured, smartass, vulnerable old Skye in them. That's why Skye/Daisy is the central character in this show - you see the rest of the team, and the world itself, through her! She's the filter that lets through basic humanity; in others, and in herself. Just look at the effect she's had on Coulson, and May. Think about what those two have gone through, during this season - and then see how much Skye/Daisy's presence in their lives has been a godsend for both of them! Having her made it easier to find parts of their humanity they thought dead or gone forever; that's what happens with certain people in this world. They affect others around them so profoundly - whether they realize it, or not - that it's amazing to watch... and a miracle to be a part of! This is one of the reasons why I'll miss this show when it's over; in some ways, it's the best Marvel show of all time!
Ward needed to be more hard edged from the beginning. What I hated when I first started watching this show was that he was such a baby faced boy scout and yet he's an experienced field agent/spy/assassin. It's like meeting a 10-year vet Navy Seal who acts like Mr. Rodgers. It was never believable.
One week after the series finale... and ya Fitz will generally be looked at as the greatest character development of the show, but Coulson’s speech at the end here proves who it actually is. This show by far has the greatest superhero origin story ever and it’s not even close. I’d even go as far as to say Daisy has one of the greatest developments of any character in any show I’ve ever watched.
3:14 "The world is full of evil and lies and pain and death". Notice where the camera goes when he says this... sneaky little show with the foreshadowing.
Kyle William Livingston At first he did it to pay back his savior. Than he went crazy because his friends tried to murder him. So while I don't justify all that I understand and feel sorry for him. It kills me how little remorse people have for someone who felt so bad about his own actions he first tried to slit his wrists with paper blades, then willing let someone kill him when he could have escaped.
John Perry You are justifing his actions by say he did those things to save Garrett. It doesn't matter if he was trying to his life, he still did lie & do evil things. He was crazy way before "his friends" tried to kill him. The moment he stole a car, drove over 1000 miles to burn down his family's house is the moment he went crazy & has been crazy since then.
When I first saw this scene, I thought Daisy was crying because she found out how much death and destruction had been caused because of her. But I've come to believe that she's crying because she finally realized just how many people protected her without her ever knowing it, and felt like she would never be able to properly honor their sacrifice.
"Every SHIELD Agent has a defining moment." This was Skye/Daisy's. The moment she realized that the organization she blamed for keeping her alone had been the ones protecting her since she was an infant. The moment she truly became SHIELD.
I wanted to add a WORD From Clark Gregg's "THE WORLD IS FULL OF..." Speech near the end of the video, that gets cut out, after he Says "HOW DO YOU RESPOND..??"....That Bit that's Missing After that line is where he also says..."WHO DO WE BECOME??" otherwise great episode & A Fantastic Show...Shame It will END After season 7, When you consider how long it's been aired & that its STILL the only Marvel Brand Television Show Being Aired on a major Corporate Network Primetime SLOT That Still Has Better Ratings & General Better Positive Reviews Than ANYTHING The STRAIGHT TO NETFLIX Marvel Shows Currently Have & Ever HOPE to Achieve. I Really Hope to get All 7 seasons Of this show on DVD/BLUE-RAY or some other type of Downloadable Media, because that's just how Good I think this show really is....Everyone else may have differing Views & opinions Than mine about the show & that's okay...But THOSE are mine & that's what Believe lol
Brilliant scene. Wouldve added the part when the agent Coulson and May talks with - don't remember his name - asks the most simple, yet the most meaningful and important question: - "is she alright?" - "She's safe" - "then maybe it did worth it after all".
I’m so confused, coulson and may both knew skye had powers when she was a baby so she was already a inhuman. Why were they so shocked that she had powers when the became active
This guy thought that daisy had powers. it was only rumored. they did not know that for sure. Plus her powers soooo destructive I would be shocked myself.
Guys she wasn’t the one that ll killed those people. It was her dad, also it was shield vs hydra showdown there to get the baby. This shield agent just saw the bodies everywhere and noticed the baby still alive nearby so thought it was the baby who did it.
"And I told you, that it can't be worse than what I've imagined."
Probably one of the best quotes from Skye.

Keoni V and now coulson 😭😭
Like what former Agent Lumley stated;
"Stay away from that girl. Because wherever she goes, Death follows."
Kek 9 an entire village and a whole bunch of agents died for her.

When Ward still had a baby face...
It makes him look completely different, doesn't it? I much prefer the stubble.
It made sense for the missions he ended up doing. They weren't all tactical ops. Espionage would require a bit more subtly you know?
Babyface? He always reminded me of Handsome Squidward, which is kinda ironic, considering...
“the world is full of evil and lies and pain and death” it literally cuts to ward there...
Talk about the foreshadowing!!

Skye/Daisy was always the star of the show
3:14 "The world is full of evil and lies and pain and death". Notice where the camera goes when he says this... sneaky little show with the foreshadowing.
Sharan Mudda
I think he's more referring to ward
Slingblade87 Grant Douglas Ward is full of pain and death, but not lies and evil. More tragic corruption and delusions.
John Perry he lied so many times & had done a lot of evil stuff.
Kyle William Livingston At first he did it to pay back his savior. Than he went crazy because his friends tried to murder him. So while I don't justify all that I understand and feel sorry for him. I already miss this show so much. It really was an amazing story.
THE ABSOLUTE BEST.
This show was the best, miss it very much

:)that’s how i see it too

@@danielhaire6677”Here I am telling her something that could destroy her faith in humanity and somehow she manages to repair a little piece of mine.”
That’s why I love coulson and Skye/Daisy ❤️
1:02 This scene really breaks my heart. 😭😔
Mate. When I tell you this scene destroyed me. It ducked destroyed me. What a moment. What a show.

It's definitely one of my all time favorite shows. I agree with you.
What’s the song called?
What's the name of that song?
Mike Johnson x2
Brilliant scene.
Wouldve added the part when the agent Coulson and May talks with - don't remember his name - asks the most simple, yet the most meaningful and important question: - "is she alright?"

0:11 why was my immediate reaction “DA BÆBY👹👉😬👈”
SAME BRO-
I’m so confused, coulson and may both knew skye had powers when she was a baby so she was already a inhuman. Why were they so shocked that she had powers when the became active
They did not know she had powers or that she was an inhuman
They only knew that she was considered important for some reason and was a O84 besides what the guy they got this info from said
This guy thought that daisy had powers. it was only rumored. they did not know that for sure.
Plus her powers soooo destructive I would be shocked myself.
also, they never heard of Inhumans before then
Guys she wasn’t the one that ll killed those people. It was her dad, also it was shield vs hydra showdown there to get the baby. This shield agent just saw the bodies everywhere and noticed the baby still alive nearby so thought it was the baby who did it.
the thumbnail 😔
I thought Daisy was the cause of the clouds the first time I saw this
What is the name of the background song when Coulson tells Skye about her parents?
