Listening to this in late July 2024 remembering when I first heard it in 1999. I was just a weird American kid with a love of all things Indian. Here I am now in my thirties listening again with my kids, who also love Desi culture, traditions, and songs. Greetings from the US!
@@shivamji1234 oh yes, I absolutely adore Indian classical music. When I was a kid I wanted to play the sitar. Had no sitar and no one to teach me even if I had one so I never learned to play. But even now I still hope to one day get my own sitar, and then I can just learn from there- it would be so much easier to learn to play these days rather than in the late 90s/early 2000s. It’s funny the first CD I bought was Chants of India by Ravi Shankar. Now thinking back on it, that probably helped lay the foundation for my love of classical Indian music (and really Indian music of all different types.. these days I’m digging the mantra trap a lot!!) and also my love for learning mantras! And my love for Kali and Shiva has now influenced my husband and now my children and it’s the main focal point of our daily life. I learned that by observing since I was young. My parents are not into Hinduism or any spirituality for that matter and they pushed back at me pretty hard for it since childhood. So now I have three children, thank God! And all three of them have said Om Namah Shivay before they can even speak in complete sentences in English (the youngest is now just learning to say it, by seeing us say it all the time and every time this happens it’s just the cutest thing). It’s really great to see how my love of India and Sanatana Dharma and love of the history and culture of the people of India has now transferred into something tangible, where my children are saying mantras and feeling that interconnectedness - it’s really an amazing thing to feel and witness and be a part of. Honestly if I told you how the entire thing all started, probably not many people would believe it anyway. Aww this was a nice thing to see first thing this morning. I really should get better at checking my yt notifications. Have a great day my friend!
@@kaylajaffer7202 thanks for taking time to write all of it . Offcourse I will love to know how it all started and don't worry I will believe you . If you love shiva and goddess Kali then listen to long form kirtans specially ISKON kirtans , they are mesmerising. By the way they are mostly krishna and Ram bhajans. This song is not about Aishwarya or AR Rahman or Taal... For us 90's kids, this song is about everything, the innocence back then, the pakeezgi between relationships. The harmony among life. Internet, social media, and tiktoks have spoiled our young generation.
Right, and that's exactly what parents said about our generation. We were the first to grow up with internet, and 24 hour cable TV, more choices of video games than ever. Dont pretend it was the golden age.
Legendary Lyricist Anand Bakshi saheb with A.R Rahman composition, with udit narayan+ Alka Yagnik jodi, what a magic combination❤ gaana to Very Good hoga e,
Udit Narayan + Alka Yagnik great combination. Udit Narayan ji, the great singer of Indian cinema, he is the king of true voice and magic voice, a singer whose voice is fresh, that is, if spoken in English, it is a fresh melody. After listening to whose voice, it is as if the fatigue ends. When songs of romantic, love, love are sung, then no singer can stand in front of them. When we sing songs of pain, the pain behind the smiling voice directly touches our heart. Although after Mohammad Rafi Sahab, Kishore Kumar Da and Mukesh ji, many male singers came, but it was said about all the singers that he imitates Kishore da, if he imitates Rafi sahab, then he imitates Mukesh ji. But the only singer who imitates any singer.Udit Narayan ji does not. After Rafi Sahab the most beautiful and clean voice is the voice of Udit Narayan ji.Udit Narayan ji ruled from 1988 to 2005-6 continuously, it is a different matter that Kumar Sanu's era came in the middle till 1990-94 but even in those 4-5 years Udit Narayan ji remained in second placeAnd after 1995, took such a leap that it became impossible for any singer to catch Udit Narayan ji. The great singer Udit Narayan ji, who has sung more than 25000 songs in more than 36 languages, has been honored with awards like 5 Filmfare, 4 National Awards, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan for his great contribution to Indian cinema. We pray to God to give a long life to Udit Narayan ji so that we can always hear new songs in his beautiful voice..
I still remember an interview of A R RHAMAN told that subashji told him you took lots of time for a song, and he said if you want perfect music, so wait. Otherwise, you can get cheaper one .
I miss those times so much. Many good, beautiful songs were made in those times. Bollywood should start making songs like this again. And I believe the old golden time will come back again.
