I’m a postpartum nurse in a hospital setting, and 100% get yourself some cheap slippers for the hospital if you end up there, as well as some cheap flip flops for the shower, and toss them in the garbage before you go home! Also, the haaka is not going to be as helpful in the first day or so after delivery. Colostrum is super thick, I’d recommend hand expression over the haaka! I hope the birth center works out for you and you get the birth you desire!
You are soooo funny. I'm ++70 so am having a great time watching you prepare. My first pregnancy and birth came. No bag, prepped for emergency c-sect -- then finally my water broke - it was fast fast fast from then on. No meds, no classes to prepare for it ---- what a ride. Each is different so fun to watch this 50 yrs after my first.....
Definitely pack newborn outfit. I had 7lb baby and the sets we had were 0-3 and end up being big on him. I'll be having my second baby next month at a birthing center for the second time. Praying for both us to have the safest healthiest labor, that our bodies may be strong and ready to endure this delivery to bring life to healthy babies.
Are you planning on having a water birth? I would recommend to take water garments even if you don't plan on a water birth, but more than likely water will be suggested to help with pain management. and it feels so good to just rest in water during contractions. I don't think you need the breastfeeding pillow for the center and hospitals can provide pumps and pillows, even a lactation consultant.
I can't believe that I'm just now watching this. When I went through my first birth was at a hospital. We only brought one bag for the both of us. (We didn't take baby home because he was being adopted out). We didn't take any pillows or anything. Had a great birth and had no issues. They did have underwear for me to use for after birth and pads. To my knowledge, they didn't have diapers for me as an option. So our hospital bag was just stuff that you would normally take if you were staying overnight somewhere. I'll be 39 wks tomorrow and so I'm looking at what I'll be need this time around since I'll be taking my kiddo home with me. I agree, not sure how big our little one will be to take the right size of clothes with us.
I’m 35 weeks and 2 days today! I am counting down to 37 so I can have my home birth so I know that is an awesome accomplishment! I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and I think it’s so cool that we are having babies so close in age! I’ll pray that your birth goes according to His plan and that your little one has great faith like you!🙏🏻
I had an in medicated birth with my first baby! Currently pregnant with number 2. My first was a 9 lb baby boy! And he fit perfectly in newborn sizes! It’s amazing how tiny even a big newborn can be. Your ideas are giving me inspiration for my hospital bag this time around! I had my last baby at a hospital, and this one will be at a birth center. ♥️🙌

Almost there, so exciting! 😍 I had an unmedicated birth with my baby girl back in October. Real talk, I honestly don’t know how moms have time for oils, music, etc during birth. 😅 Maybe with an epidural. When those contractions ramp up you are so not focused on anything else! The idea of worship music sounds nice and relaxing but I’m like we can worship the Lord after that baby comes out! 😅 🤪 #thepainisnojoke 😂
😭😂 Lol I know right! I had a unmedicated birth with my son, I had a playlist with a few songs. It was playing but I didn't notice it until my husband tried to change the songs. Hehehe, but for real I wasn't focused on all that extra stuff at all!
So I’ve heard!! I told Austin if I’m just vibing through my contractions he can entertain himself by filling the diffuser with oils and setting the room up all cozy with music since I’ll obviously be occupied 😂💛
Definitely make sure Austin has a bag of snacks for himself too! My husbands only complaint was that he was hungry a lot 😂 they always checked on me and asked if I needed food or drinks, they never asked him once lol. And you’ll be starving after delivery and if you are breastfeeding so you won’t be sharing!! 😄

Okay, so, a couple of things 1) curious what your birth center provides. I had a hospital birth and they provided witch hazel pads, pads, nipple cream (lanisoh specifically) and all that fun stuff. I feel like it’s also nice to have your own stuff though. Especially more natural things. 2) before changing his diaper if you rub a wipe above the front fold of the diaper apparently it mimics the cold air sensation and they’ll pee then and not on you. I’m not sure this definitely works, but I read it somewhere and wish I knew it before having my son. Would have saved me some times he peed on me. 🤣 You’ve got this! Your body was made for this and that moment you get to see them and hold your baby is the most worth it thing ever! You will do amazing!

Boys like to pee on mom and dad during diaper changes so be prepared for that. Lol With my son I went through all his clothes that I packed cause every time I changed his diaper he would pee everywhere lol so pack extra for you and baby. And pack slippers cause they might have you walk around it helps speed up labor. Also your center might have them but a exercising ball to bounce on during contraction is sooo helpful. And the peanut ball. Google it. Lol that was so helpful when laying in bed. Good luck mama your guna do amazing! ❤️

I was wondering if you have a paypal account, where baby b's UA-cam family can send money for his savings account? FYI...don't eat during labor, I puked all over myself during pushing. Just eat ice, or Gatorade or protein water. . You need to get witch hazel, in case you tear (vaginal tearing during delivery) theres no way around it, It happens , 80% women have had tearing, if not they had a c section. When your breast are engorged, you need ice packs. Girl, I was completely naked when I was pushing, I was sweating so bad. You wont care what your wearing, your focus is baby b. I don't think doing a live or vlog of the birth is wise. Giving birth is a very private moment with your husband. Pictures are just fine and you can to a voice over with Austin telling the story and at the end Austin and you introduce baby b to us on the UA-cam vlog world. A weight of a newborn ranges from 5lbs-10lbs. The average is 7lbs.

Some of the apps I use to save money is Honey app , you put it on your browser bar on the laptop and it searches for the best price. Coupon.com, Groupon.com. On Instagram , there's a guy named freebie guy , he gives daily shopping clearance finds and some of the products are of infants. Huggies or pampers has a rewards program and you put points towards nice toys. One last thing, you might need heavy duty pads, like bladder control , if your flow is extreme.

My birth center doesn’t provide much of anything since they send you home pretty much immediately! That’s why I’m packing so much, just in case!
