Cody has the title because kids like him so much, he does great in merch sells. Story wise, he's pretty dry. I think making him heel would at least make his story more interesting. Something similar to Homelander from the Boys.
I think one of the reasons he barely wrestles on TV is because he is fragile like punk. Every PLE match he has some kind of niggling injury. I think if he wrestled every week he'd be on the shelf quick. NOT a good excuse to be a shit champ but just an observation.

I think we fail to realize that in wrestling it’s all about getting over and how your pushed. Cody got himself over when he left the WWE and when he came back in was put in the main event scene and world title picture. Roman is a huge draw at that time however he wasn’t a face and there was a void for pure face of the company and enter Cody. Everyone fell in love with Cody story because it was real even in kayfabe the story of him wanted to win WWE title is a real thing. The Rock coming back has the final boss and becoming a heel gave Cody even more baby face heat.
Worst part is, is that Cody is one of Paul’s “boys” so he isn’t going anywhere. So while Cody is literally a mid carder who should not be in the position that he is in, he is going to stay champ for a while because Paul is completely behind him. Cody and La knight should switch titles!!

6 months have passed, and nothing has impressed me when it comes to this title reign. What's going to be the legacy when it ends? No one is going to care, especially if he holds the belt for a year, possibly more. He's tanked the viewership of Smackdown way before it switched to the USA Network and has no memorable feuds.

When I seen the Cody Rhodes the dude from legacy was champion it got my interest but it’s sad that WWE hasn’t produced stars on the level of Jeff hardy, Rey mysterio, RVD, Edge etc etc. Roman reigns seems cool but I think I’ve missed his prime era from when he was a shield and dominating people

The point about the circumstances and Booker T being top star right now makes a lot of sense to me, when I was younger and used to do funny fantasy booking I was splitting wrestlers into "eras" where I split random guys into random groups and as I went on I figured I ran out of the "cool guys" which meant suddenly Austin Theory was the front runner and multitime world champion because there just simply wasn't that much competition

So if you jump ship to WWE Vince had no choice but to allow him to succeed because if he didn't then why would anybody else in AEW want to come to WWE when it just seems like they would make the AEW guy fail. So yes, part of it is that he kind of had to succeed so he was given a push regardless of whether he earned it or not. Now me personally, I think he did earn the push because everybody was behind him upon him coming back to WWE.

Ive always said that Bret Hart is probably the worst champion in history. In the sense that business was down across the board during his run at top he was probably the only choice at the worst possible time and had he not left and stayed the main guy for 1998 WWE would've most likely went out of business. Bret was the top guy at a time where if he would've gotten his way WWE would've been history.

The Tyson involvement helped boost the shift and 2 look at how catastrophic it could've been if Owen paralyzed Austin in 97 WWE would've had an uphill battle that could've ended in a closure. I don't think Bret was ever a good champion and on top of that his views didnt align with Vinces on the Attitude Era which would've probably made things worse.

Kofi Kingston was not the worst WWE champion of all time. Did you see the guys he beat? He beat Samoa Joe. I think most of the wrestlers with "good gimmicks" today is STICTLY based on their entrance music and if the audience can "sing along" with it. It's LITERALLY all people like Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins have - an entrance people can sing along to and go "whoooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh". That's what makes people think these guys are "over". Without their "catchy" entrance songs braindead WWE fans can "sing along to", they would literally have nothing and would instantly get boo'd. But since people just go to the shows to "sing along" to these songs and they probably see one show one time in their life, they want to "have fun" and "sing along" to these horrible entrance songs - instead of doing what they should be doing to these guys: BOOING THEM. Take away these "catchy" entrance songs of Cody and Seth Rollins and people would boo them instantly!
Sorry, but Cody has absolutely improved since his previous run in the WWE. He puts on better matches, he has improved his physique, he has far superior ring attire, he has a much better theme song, he has a more unique look that sets him apart, and he has a defined character that the fans have gravitated towards. It’s night and day.

He does have awful moves. Those stupid ones he does when he jumps off the ropes and the opponent just has to stand there and wait for Cody to run two miles an hour and weakly jump off the ropes to grab him and do a weak move - it all looks so dumb. People think Cody is "athletic" because he does these jumpy things off the ropes, when in reality he is one of the most unathletic people I've ever seen wrestle. He doesn't know how to run - he runs like a person who's never played a sport in their entire life.
Hold up though we can't say that the wrestlers are inferior over the product being trash. Example I used to watch wrestling every time it was on TV to see what crash Holly was going to do. Just as much as you saw was Stone Cold was going to do against DX. Cuz it was entertaining as hell. But now it's weak and it's not on the wrestlers first. It's on the writers first. Again, I still say this is in the fact that they chose to push nobody but Roman Reigns for 10 years, we now are in a phase now where there actually is nobody else
Cody is a great talent but you gotta give him engaging, long-term storytelling feuds. None of the feuds that he had so far had any real meaning. He just went through multiple challengers that were there just to fill the spot; or at least, thats how it felt like. I see a heel turn coming soon. Cody, Orton and Owens will start cooking. This is what we have been waiting for...a real engaging story.
No, they won't - Cody has had the title for almost eight (8) months now and he's been boring the entire time. I'm ngl you speak a lot of facts, but I don't agree on a lot of things. Cody DEFINITELY has improved. He doesn't look like some random jobber anymore and he now has a unique attire, he's pretty good on the mic (I wouldn't say amazing tho lol) and can cut some great emotional promos, and his moveset is more interesting. And he's a pretty good champion. Yea he hardly defends it, but it's not like he defends it 3 times a year like Roman lol I think he doesn't defend it too much or too little, but that's just my opinion. Plus Cody had an AMAZING feud with AJ Styles and Solo Sikoa. We just hate the whole solo thing bc he was treated as the Roman Reigns replacement lol If we could accept him as this egotistical false prophet trying to be the best in his family when deep down he knows he's not, then we would've LOVED that feud a lot more. Yea Cody's feud with KO is a little lackluster, but their match was great and now their feud is taking off. And the Logan Paul feud just felt like Triple H said "hey that's a dream match, let's just put them together and do nothing else" 💀 VERY forgettable but the match was pretty good. Honestly I don't think Cody's title run is anywhere near the worst, and isn't anywhere near the best. I'd rate his title run a 8.5/10 so far. But it did add prestige to the title, Roman became a megastar, and almost all of his matches were pretty good even though they ended the same. Plus after Romans long and legendary title reign, Cody was put in a spot where he was DESTINED to be overshadowed by Roman's reign, but imo his reign was just as good if not better. I think we fail to realize that in wrestling it’s all about getting over and how your pushed. Cody got himself over when he left the WWE and when he came back in was put in the main event scene and world title picture.
Roman is a huge draw at that time however he wasn’t a face and there was a void for pure face of the company and enter Cody. Everyone fell in love with Cody story because it was real even in kayfabe the story of him wanted to win WWE title is a real thing. The Rock coming back has the final boss and becoming a heel gave Cody even more baby face heat.
Worst part is, is that Cody is one of Paul’s “boys” so he isn’t going anywhere. So while Cody is literally a mid carder who should not be in the position that he is in, he is going to stay champ for a while because Paul is completely behind him. Cody and La knight should switch titles!!

Ive always said that Bret Hart is probably the worst champion in history. In the sense that business was down across the board during his run at top he was probably the only choice at the worst possible time and had he not left and stayed the main guy for 1998 WWE would've most likely went out of business. Bret was the top guy at a time where if he would've gotten his way WWE would've been history.

That's what makes people think these guys are "over". Without their "catchy" entrance songs braindead WWE fans can "sing along to", they would literally have nothing and would instantly get boo'd. But since people just go to the shows to "sing along" to these songs and they probably see one show one time in their life, they want to "have fun" and "sing along" to these horrible entrance songs - instead of doing what they should be doing to these guys: BOOING THEM. I have an honest question for you Hater because you mentioned it before. How would Roman Reigns physically have destroyed the jobbers of the new bloodline in a way that looks believable? There's 4 of them. So bad Roman came back and just "layeth" the smackown on them how would that have looked? I agree that it could have been where he just destroys them all easily to make him look strong but how in a believable way? And does he just have a one on one match with them? Theyre the bloodline they'll interfere, or they wouldn't just stand by and let the other get destroyed like if Roman attacked them after the match. Can someone answer this please

I'm ngl you speak a lot of facts, but I don't agree on a lot of things. Cody DEFINITELY has improved. He doesn't look like some random jobber anymore and he now has a unique attire, he's pretty good on the mic (I wouldn't say amazing tho lol) and can cut some great emotional promos, and his moveset is more interesting. And he's a pretty good champion. Yea he hardly defends it, but it's not like he defends it 3 times a year like Roman lol I think he doesn't defend it too much or too little, but that's just my opinion. Plus Cody had an AMAZING feud with AJ Styles and Solo Sikoa. We just hate the whole solo thing bc he was treated as the Roman Reigns replacement lol If we could accept him as this egotistical false prophet trying to be the best in his family when deep down he knows he's not, then we would've LOVED that feud a lot more. Yea Cody's feud with KO is a little lackluster, but their match was great and now their feud is taking off. And the Logan Paul feud just felt like Triple H said "hey that's a dream match, let's just put them together and do nothing else" 💀 VERY forgettable but the match was pretty good. Honestly I don't think Cody's title run is anywhere near the worst, and isn't anywhere near the best. I'd rate his title run a 8.5/10 so far. Definitely the best WWE Championship title run of the 2020's which ik is a huge hot take but I did not like Roman's title run at all 💀 All the matches were the same, he felt weak and cowardly, it was painfully long, and we hardly ever saw him. But it did add prestige to the title, Roman became a megastar, and almost all of his matches were pretty good even though they ended the same. Plus after Romans long and legendary title reign, Cody was put in a spot where he was DESTINED to be overshadowed by Roman's reign, but imo his reign was just as good if not better.
