Great story about Finnegan. He had a pub and there was a man who used to come in and nobody liked him, and he was always saying Finnegan was no good. A boxing book came out that was very popular featuring all the weights and World Champions. The man had the book as did Finnegan, and the man said you cat have been any good, you aren't in the book. Finnegan said I am. The man offered to bet Finnegan so Finnegan said, if I am not in the book I will give you 5 pounds. If I am then you never come in here again. The man agreed. Finnegan produced the book, pointed to a picture of Bob Foster and said, thats Bob Foster those legs you see in the air are mine now drink up and f--k off. The photo only showed Foster and Finnegans legs.
After CHRIS trained his trainer FREDDY Hill to take him down to the pub and have a couple pints of Guinness that’s that’s real old school boxing and training don’t forget Genaid is very good for you
Chris and his brother Kevin were terrific fighters

what a fantastic fighter Chris was, never forgotten.
They both were m8! This is the era of boxing in Britain I love when Harry Carpenter and Reg Gutteridge were kings of the mic!
I'm sure Chris was a hod carrier of the old school , not a bricklayer, back in the days when all the gear was bumped up the ladders.
Yes I knew a friend of his He told me he was a hod carrier
