I'm now able to connect my phone to my computer BUT the internet is not shared, I do not really understand why... It seems like the phone is wired on wifi to the hotspot, but the hotspot is not difusing any internet...

Turn on wifi mobile hotspot. Then you'll see those settings

This video didn’t provide much help for context what is direct virtual adapter and what does it do because I thought that was just to enable hotspot from the pc not dealing with pc connecting to hotspot, the looking for update is not useful because I don’t have Wi-Fi. Carrier is down for maintenance until the morning, this is frustrating not finding a solution. Partially blaming apple for making their iPhone hotspot not user friendly to see if it’s on, whether make it discoverable in WiFi settings or have its blue icon also visible to see the network should be discoverable even if a device hasn’t connected.
