Definitely needs to go in a classic auction. Series one's normally sell for silly money.
It’s a pretty little truck which a lot of people would love to have in the lounge room……I mean, garage!
Yes it is time to move it on...
Great specimen!
It comes with the best anti-theft device...right-hand drive with a manual transmission.
Very true!
I would put it into a classic auction
I think that's the best option - somewhere with a following for proper classics
excellent bit of kit.....I have shared your video amongst my club members.. good luck with it
Much appreciated!
WOW
An original selling an original. Very rare this day an age.All the best to both of you.
CHEERS PHIL.
Many thanks!
Advertise in s1 club , there is something pure about a s1 i like 👍
I had a 4x2 series 2 that was specifically made for British air bases to run around the tarmac.
I'm sure the American market would love this, Mike - and pay really good money!
I would think so
I believe these were made for the MOD for driver training and were on civilian registration plates starting with FUV and were struck off in the mid to late sixties, as you say many were converted to 4x4 by dealers before being sold on.
These were base vehicles, mostly used by Military Police - mine has the hoops on the back for handcuffs!
@@BritannicaRestorations I saw the hoops, have seen them on ex MOD series ones before didn’t realise that’s what they were for just thought they were handles to hold onto as the ride can get a bit “exciting” in the back of a series one !
great looking one Mike - i am sure you will find a good home for it!
I hope so too
Very nice S1 Mike and looking at the initial pictures, you've done quite a bit to it. It'll be a well sorted truck for someone. A good home and someone willing to pay what it's worth being so rare. I've no idea, so can't help with that I'm afraid.
Yes it was a bit of a mess - they even painted the dash white
I wonder if it was this guy's vehicle before?

Hope it finds a good home...
Me too - I just cannot justify keeping it in a container any more
IV sold 2 old cars still got 4 can't look after everything just keeping best
It’s magnificent. I have no idea what it is worth but it has to go for big money
As long as it goes to a good home..
@@BritannicaRestorations Wish I could take it off your hands. I would definitely give it a good home.
I think you should keep it Mike and just drive it over summer!
Problem is I am flat out in summer and no time to use it
Probably worth more than your house going by current prices your side of the Atlantic
I hope so! House prices and car prices are mental here..
Be worth a good retirement pot for you…….👍
I hope so!
Has to be worth £50k to £80k going by what I've seen here, there was a 107 diesel in need of a full restoration and the nutters wanted £100k
I'm after a 80" with lights behind the grill but they're sooooooooo expensive, we trialed loads of them in the 70's and they was cheap as chips ( back then ) nobody wanted them, Hope someone good buys it, send Jay Leno a message he got some spon doolies.
May be worth bringing back to the UK?
@@adamap2796 I suggest doing some research first.
@@BritannicaRestorations I don't know, they still get silly money in the states.
Looks like a great wedding hire car. Not going to do a once over vid for us newbees?
I will do a video when it stops raining!
Get yourself in the Series 1 owners club....
“I don’t really use it” 😂
Really ? 😁
Needs to go for sale at a proper auction in the US to get top dollar.
Suggestions?
@@BritannicaRestorations
Sotheby’s or Bonhams 👍😎
Why not put it into a classic car auction where it will be advertised to the right people.
I'd pay more than I can afford ! but I'd also use it loads, would that spoil it ?
Needs using and loving!
Oh mike what a shame! Use it as a daily driver!
In Canada? In winter? Lol!
@@BritannicaRestorations haha ok maybe not all year round
Have you got change for $50.00
Sell it to Jim Ratcliffe, or Richard Hammond or even to the sexiest man in th UK Jeremy Clarkson.
Hi beautiful. Price please. I am in South Africa at the moment!!
