Esto no es un inicio, este caballo ya esta enseñado al piaffe. Tienes que enseñarnos el inicio de un caballo que no sabe hacer el piaffe y los pasos hasta que lo hace como este caballo. Gracias.

I hope that was a joke, Library... The Piaffe is meant to be done in place, with no lateral motion. It is strictly up and down, and is the first step in working to the Airs Above the Ground. When starting the piaffe, it is expected the horse will not be able to do it perfectly. Thus far, they have been trained to move in any flat direction and their natural inclination at this point is to move forward, backwards, or side to side. By training next to a wall, it creates a channel for the horse with the person as the other 'wall', eliminating the side to side motion. Once the horse understands what is being asked and can perform it on a consistent basis, then they gradually move away, substituting hands and legs under saddle for the 'channel'. I hope this makes sense to you. :)
@The Lost Media Library *rubs forehead* I see. Then if you knew this information already, why would you give a wrong answer to the original poster (to whom my explanation was originally directed)? It's answers like that which spread misinformation and turn people away from the idea of working with horses. ANY animal is dangerous by itself, but giving wrong reasons for training methods can make it even more so. A 'dangerous' horse (as in what most people would think of) would not be this responsive, let alone handled in just a Spanish Cavesson.

Everything I have read/seen about them has stated that the breed only becomes difficult to handle when in an unfamiliar environment, when handled by a timid/unsure handler, or subjected to abusive conditions. @The Lost Media Library Okay, first off, ANY animal that hasn't been trained has the potential to be deadly. Horses, dogs, cats, birds, etc. Second, Andalusians are a *warm-blooded* breed. You want a hot breed? Look at Thoroughbreds and Arabians. Many examples of those breeds are unruly and difficult to handle, even with training. And third: Even books can be wrong. That's why it's so important to get information from MANY different sources. Books, professional studies, and yes, even internet forums. When the majority of posts are in favor of the breed, one would assume that the breed in general is a good one to work with. And lastly, did you really need to spread all of that through three separate responses? Taking a few minutes to think and give a measured response in a single post does wonders.
