    Q. What are the key steps to validate a product idea before building it out?
    A. The key steps to validate a product idea before building it out include:
    1. Conduct customer discovery by talking to potential customers about their problems to understand if your idea could solve a real need.
    2. Build a minimum brand presence and offer to start getting early feedback and see if people will opt-in.
    3. Create a "smoke test" by testing your pre-sale or ability to get initial actions from potential customers.
    4. Set up analytics to track engagement with your offer and learn how to improve conversion.
    5. Sell your idea to potential customers before building to validate demand and learn what features have value.

Kindly , what about protecting the software idea from being taking away from you either if you use a no code platform or hire some developers to do it for you ? The IP rights I mean . Thanks in advance.

Code is the biggest form of leverage. I have some great ideas but have no funding, that is why running a small creative team and exploring different fields to collect funds and invest in.

Dude just launch with no code, collect revenue, then protect your ip by building it out with code... If you just sit here dreaming anf saying that code (i.e. something you can't afford) is the answer, you'll never get anywhere.

Dude, I have a really good idea for an app but I didn't know anything about programming so I started studying programming and I've made a lot of progress but I haven't finished yet but I'm not going to give up

I just started building on bubble everyday for about a week now.
What a rollercoaster of emotions (I currently have less than a 100 bucks in my account so everything looks pay to win)
I'm so cooked ngl, but I have something I look forward to everyday so I am excited.

Yeah, entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster. I recommend getting a part-time job in the early stages. Then when it starts working you go all in. Great job putting in the work!

@@wearenocode Thanks for replying. This actually made me feel good. The advice is solid, however I am a fulltime CompSci student so I don't think I could even find the time.
I just come from school and with the little energy I have left I just spam build/learn until I feel tired and fall asleep.
ie : this is my part time job lol.
The plan is to put in 60 hours a week until the end of the month. Really get a feel for it.
Luckily bubble is free (albeit limited) and the rest of the other no-code tools are as such (like webflow. [also thanks for putting me onto webflow and Make. I bet wordpress are shaking in their boots rn] )
There's also wonderful resources like you guys and Simon Hoiberg for example so I know I'm in good hands. I WILL be taking your courses.
So yes, I'll just be doing this obsessively and eating ramen in the meantime (I get to eat food from home too so that's not to bad)
I don't know... maybe mid April I can start charging for my services (?) I was thinking in the ballpark of 2-4.5k per project (?)
[Is this at all realistic ? I have yet to hear of a timeframe from when people typically make money from this hustle and at what experience level]
I'll use that first customer money to then pay for the full yearly services I need to keep running. Second project I use to then boost the business like getting my legal side sorted and third project I start paying myself. From there I could build my own SaaS (I have some ideas for a CRM thanks to you guys) and then later I could expand into an agency or something, but that's somewhere down the line.
Right now, I'm just obsessed with learning and building.
I don't want to make all the money in the world. I'm actually fine with very little (at this stage in my life) , I just want to make the people that care about me proud and hopefully solve real world problems making a contribution to humanity.
Who knows, end of the year I could even take a trip somewhere.
That was a bit of a long read, sorry to innundate, I just wanted to communicate my thoughts on this since I am riding this completely solo and could use all the advice I can take.
I just want to be as realistic as possible to manage my expectations.
Thank you for taking your time, not just for reading this but for all the hard work you guys do.
      ❤❤❤
