Very useful video for people like us. We have set the finds to 100 before our first cache. Can’t wait to put it out there and have people finding them!
Another fantastic tutorial, Mark. I'm very much a beginner myself with < 50 finds. I was keen to start placing my own caches, but everything you said makes a lot of sense so I'll hold off for the time being. :) Cheers from a very wet and cold Victoria. :)
Hi Biggles, thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Sorry to hear the weather there is not caching friendly. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow, hit the trails, and get a few finds. Have a good weekend mate.
Hi Mark, Thanks for the video mate, I'm new to geocaching so this video was a huge in regards to the types of items you can use to start off with and its a great idea on what a micro, small etc look like. chris
I was wondering I live in the Brisbane area as well, and I've been doing it for about a year now and I was wondering where you get your ammo cans from because I can't find them anywhere but getting them shipped from overseas
This gave me an idea! I still have not found this cache near my house but I did see an eclipse can there the last time I was looking but just passed it off a rubbish!!!!! If it turns out to be the cache im gonna kick myself!!!!! =O
Roope Lappalainen you can buy them here geocaching.com and geostuff.com and head over to the geocaching blogger and in one of his videos he mentions another website of course you can just buy any old container get some Camo colours and paint it which would be fun
I can't wait till I'm able to get out a do this, thanks for the tips Mark .. another great video mate

Thanks for sharing some great ideas, Mark!
No worries mate, hope you get out there soon.

Thanks do you recommend any?
I've often thought the same thing. Also you could imagine the principle being used for other illegal activities.
Cool, I've never been Geocaching.
That would be funny. Happy hunting :)
Most disposal stores should have them.
I hid my first one at 100, I've hidden 12 now on the Sunshine Coast.

nicely done
I'm my district, there is only one, and that too is now missing/stolen. I guess I need to start to put some before that 100 finds.. 😀
where did you buy the camo microcache

Not really, not my part of town where you are. A search online should turn up some options.
i put one out after 5 finds and after 5 days
I don't waste my time and gas on micros.
too bad almost every cache in my area is a micro
