Enjoyed that, I did that route many years ago, but in the opposite direction, and I have been singing its praises every since. One of my most favorite walks in the lakes, thanks for taking us along. Atb.
Hey thanks Mike I’m so pleased you enjoyed it and it brought back good memories of your time on it. Yea that Halls fell ridge is a wonderful ridge. Looking forward to going up that way next time I head up Blencathra. Fantastic scramble and fantastic views..!! Thanks again for watching and for taking the time to drop me a comment. It’s very much appreciated🙏 All the very best Mike
Thanks Ant🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much for taking the time out to give it a watch. It’s very much appreciated🙏 Happy hiking Mike
Hey thank you George.!! I’m so glad you liked the video. It is a wonderful part of the lakes. If you have never been I hope you’re able to pay Blencathra a visit one day super soon🙂 Thanks again for your kind words, they are very much appreciated🙏 All the very very best Mike
Thank you Chris🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was an extremely hot day on the day of the decent down Halls Fell Ridge so on that particular occasion I was feeling a bit done in by the time I arrived back at the van😰 It’s not normally that hard for me and I do enjoy the whole creative process. It gives me something to do on my hikes. Thank you again for taking the time out to give the video a watch and for dropping me a comment. It’s greatly appreciated🙏🙂 Keep safe and happy hiking Mike
Thanks for such kind words Mike. It’s so very much appreciated🙂 Glad you enjoyed it. It was a unbelievably hot day as I made my way down back to the van. It nearly found me out that one😰😂
Watched the lot! Beautifully shot, amazing and engaging commentary, those morning shots out of this world! Superb channel and so glad we said hello!!! Paul Ps love your van. Looks like a practical A team one!!!
Hey thanks for giving it a watch. Yea I was lucky with the weather on that day. Think it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year. The A team… Haha ya showing ya age there fella😂
Cheers Bob🙂 I’m sorry the weather didn’t work out for you when you were there😕 At least you’ve got a good excuse to go back and have another adventure up there again. Thanks for giving the video a watch I’m glad you enjoyed it. Wishing you clear skies for your next visit🤞🙂 All the very best Mike
Aww thank you so much.!! I’m super pleased you enjoyed it. It makes a big difference when you can see the view from the top. I finally got lucky for a change. Definitely need new ear plugs though.!!🙂 All the best Mike

Just found you and am watching this video! You're the only person on UA-cam that I've seen having the same issue that we had in the peak district for 2 weeks, (flying ants). Everyone was absolutely covered in them for miles! Bought nets ready for next yr. I don't know how you have the guts to walk that ridge so calmly. I have knee wobbles just watching you! I've liked and subscribed!
Awww thanks for liking the video and subscribing to my channel it’s very good of you and it’s very much appreciated. Omg they were terrible.!! Sorry to hear you had the same problem with the little blighters😬 Glad to hear you have purchased some nets for next season. I have a net of some sort with me at all times just in case. The one I was wearing in this video is my favourite as it keeps it off my face. I had a number of people wanting to buy it off me on that day😂 Thanks again for subscribing👍 I’ve been really busy over the past month or so and have not been able to get out in the hills to do another video since this one. But I’ll be getting out for more walks/videos in the hills very soon🙂 All the very best and stay safe Mike
@@FurrychalkbagOutdoors It's my pleasure and i look forward to watching more! Those pesky ants were so bad, we have also bought full body size nets, just in case cought out when it's lunch time! Ty too and stay safe
Really enjoyed your video Mike. Terrific drone and camera work. I’ve been up Halls Fell Ridge, but not Sharp Edge. I found Halls Ridge at the edge of my comfort zone for exposure, but a cracking scramble. Thanks for your efforts, much appreciated.
Hey Jon thanks for giving the video a watch and for dropping me a comment. It’s very much appreciated. You’re absolutely right it is a cracking scramble.!! As you saw in the video I loved it on the way down. Yes it certainly has a few tricky sections along the way where you definitely want to take care. Wouldn’t want to do it in wet conditions😬 So glad you liked the video. Thanks again for watching and your kind words🙂 All the very best Mike
Awww thank you Peter🙏 I’m so happy that you enjoyed it and found it useful. It’s a fantastic scramble up Sharp Edge. Shame there isn’t a slightly better water source on the top of Blencathra though. The views are amazing and I’m so glad I gave it a revisit🙂 Thanks for giving it a watch and thank you so very much for the sub it’s greatly appreciated🙂 All the very very best Mike

@@matthewelsdon7949 Absolutely fantastic.!!! So pleased that you finally got to get there Matthew. Keswick is a lovely little town. Plenty to see and do there and Buttermere is probably my most visited area of the lakes for good reason. Hope you had time to walk around the lake when you were there. It is a beautifully relaxing stroll. I’m doing ok thanks. Just waiting to get some minor surgery done and then I’ll be back on the fells for more high level adventures. At the moment I’m enjoying time in my canoe. At the time of replying to you I’ve just finished a day on Ullswater. You must have done it twice! Be a lot easier if you had a walking partner and tag team the long walkaway shots on your way round.
Yes definitely but it wouldn’t be as challenging🙏 Thanks for giving the video a watch. I hope you enjoyed it🙂
