- Hello, and welcome to Deaf Talks News!
We all know that there are many religions in the world.
For example: Christians, Hindus, Muslims, etc.
Each one has their own beliefs, faith, and ideologies.
In that way, Christians have their own holy book, the Bible.
Many might have known about Jesus and his life.
But those are more accessible to hearing people.
But Joseph Josselyn, a deaf Christian and film director, wanted to tell the Jesus story in sign language.
He wants to make this film by the deaf, for the deaf community.
This idea and work was started two decades ago in 2006.
They faced hard times to make this movie, and finally, Jesus movie is now in theaters.
The director was explaining about the movie that this movie creates more connection among the Deaf community.
Also, the movie creates awareness among the hearing people about the Deaf culture.
This is a great opportunity for Christian Deaf people to know Jesus' in our own sign language all around the world.
Other religions might think about this. Maybe in the future, someone from their religions might do the same.
This Jesus movie started shooting in 2020, and it took almost 4 years to release.
Congratulations to the teams!
But the movie was only released in America, not in any of the other countries.
Maybe in the future, it might be screened all over the world.
Hopefully looking forward to it.

Story real bible holy. Very honored sign language in movies
Deaf Missions didn't apply for International 5-digits film ID number yet and Region # for Subtitles. Hearing people don't realize that most countries can understand most countries' signs but not all so we don't need translation often.
