mac is the original makeup line for me. i remember going to department stores with my mom and she would always wear mac makeup, lip liner and gloss. mac artist did my wedding makeup. when i got into green beauty, i abandoned mac, but now that im over the restrictions and just buy what i like. i have rediscovered mac! so far i only have lip liner and lipstick velvet teddy. im trying to only buy what i can pan and use up right now. but this video is a great segway back in.

I’ve also gone back to loving MAC. I used to wear it all in my 20’s and it does feel so nostalgic. I’m in my 40’s now and going back to an old love has been so refreshing. Also, their makeup is not quite as expensive as other brands. But the performance is still there. Thank you for this video.
I think of all the makeup products out there, face and body has never been duped and will probably not even come close because it's so unique! I have LOVED it for years as well

I don't want Estee Lauder to get a penny out of me anymore because their CEO is hella toxic and dem0nic. Shady dude but also their foundationd run way to peach and orange most of the time. However I tried all of the foundations you named and none of them are close to F&B. Some of these foundations are great in their own way though the ELF one is quite nicd but it goes bad after a few months which is strange. The only foundation that is some what similair to MAC's F&B is the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator. However the finish is more natural to almost semi-matte very great coverage and dries down on it's own. But the shade range and undertones sucks not even deeper shades and the undertones are mostly pink or peach.....

This TOTALLY inspired me to revisit MAC! I will definitely pick up the concealer! I don’t wear foundation but if I find the right shade, I will spot treat, blush on cheeks and lids, maybe a lil bit of tantour and do my eyebrows and call it a day for my everyday! @@lex_faceitI'm surprised about how you used a sponge to apply the foundation. I've used the F&B for many years I would never be able to make it work with a sponge becaude of 2 reasons: it's sheer to light in coverage and it's waterbased and to liquidy. I know you can built up the coverage but it doesn't work with a sponge in fact it lifts up the foundation. I find that it worked best by warming it up in between both hands until it thickens and then apply with the hands as if it's a creme or moisturizer or in stead of bare hands you can dot it all over and then dab it in with a dense or slightly fluffier brush but not to fluffy.
Let it dry down for 1-2 min if needed apply a 2nd and even 3rd layer. I could never make it work any other way so I'm surprised about that. A
lso how on earth do you use shades N6 and N2😮? I'm way tanner then you even your summer shade is lighter then my natural complexion. I couldn't even use N4 let alone N6.
I remember mixing C3 and N3 because C3 starts off olive but turns incredibly orange but N3 was to light and slightly to peachy pink on me made me a little ghostly looking😂 but mixed together 50/50 would usually work good enough but if the c3 still turned out to orange I would add some blue pigment to neutralize the shade altogether.
Also don't understand how NC35 concealer could work for you😅. In some of their other foundations I would be around NC35/NC37 but their shades are weird in different formulas because I also would use a C40 (mostly powder foundations) or NC30 sometimes.
I love the Hug Me lipstick too, it’s sitting on my makeup counter right now. I also got a larger sized “build your own” palette and chose blush, bronzer and my favorite eyeshadows to go into it - so fun!! 🥰

Love the look! The pro longwear concealer has been my staple for 10 years, I've never found a better shade match than the NC30. Can I ask, I tend to have pretty dry lips no matter how much I exfoliate so would the lipstick highlight any dryness? It's a great shade.

I still have my Plum Foolery blush that is discontinued. It was my first high end blush that I wore for years and hit pan on long ago. Once in a while I will use it just to remember how damn pigmented and amazing it looks. The paint pots are the best! I wear the Layin Low shade every day.

The mac face and body ist my favorite foundation for my dry Skin. I Tried the new „radiant“ and its 1000% changed Formula! 😬 it looked more cakey on me, they put more pigments in it!!! Which i dont like! But they deny the reformulation and I returned it! Wherever I find the old formula, I buy it. 💖

I recommend you buy mineralize skin finish in colour cheeky bronze and use as a blush. It's even more beautiful than kiss of copper from bare minerals.

Find your foundation shade using findation. I always do and it always gives me the right shade
MAC is an appealing brand to me because they perfectly balance user friendly and artistic. You can get solid basics but pick up one or two things here and there that make you feel more unique and artistic. It appeals to so many makeup styles.
I have taupe and lady danger, love them, looking for a nice rosy/berry matte shade for fall 💋💄

They use color theory / color wheel to correct. I.e. yellow undertone is C because it is meant to correct/neutralize those with a cool/pink undertone.
Girl on the color wheel pink is cool and yellow/orange is warm lol idk where Mac got theirs backwards so when using mac I go NC= Not cool and NW= Not warm lol so the opposites

Ugh I miss the old face and body. It was the only foundation that worked for me, and the new version is awful I was heartbroken 💔😢 the colors are different and the formula isn’t the same even though they say it is.

i do not like laminated brow trend. embracing your natural brow and enhancing what you have always looks better, instead of creating new eye brows or trying to change them to fit what is currently trendy. when trends change, as they do, many people are left with messed up face. such as 90s thin eye brows.. then trend changed to bushy. the fake lash extensions that are the craze are going to leave lots of damaged eye lashes.
