⭐️ Hummus is nutritious and packed with healthy fats, fiber, and plant-based protein. It's vegan and gluten-free, and everyone loves it if properly made.
You can eat it for breakfast, brunch, as a snack, lunch, in a sandwich, with veggies and shirazi, after a workout, on pasta, for dinner, and why not, as a midnight snack.
⭐️ Ingredients
2 cans (15 oz each) chickpeas or 3 cups cooked chickpeas
¼ cup reserved chickpea water add more to taste
3 tablespoons tahini or more to taste

Would love some chickpea hummus on my naan bread along with some chai tea.
❤😂
Best enjoyed in the Sahara desert
@@ah.1190OMG you have no idea how many times I heard someone say “ The desert Sahara “ !
Chai = tea
Chai tea = tea tea
Chai is not used in the US to refer to general tea. It means specifically spiced tea with milk in the Indian style. So chai tea is not redundant. Frankly, even Indians don’t mean just tea when they say chai. They mean spiced tea with milk and sugar.
Lmaooo "hummus" means "chickpea" in arabic so you're basically saying "hummus hummus". This is like the sequel to "chai tea" 💀
I want to comment the same thing lmaoooo
@Z so I’m gonna guess that “white people” say “chai tea” because they don’t speak Arabic, and two, there are countless types of tea. In the US, chai is in its own class. You wouldn’t say “I want tea tea” no you’d say “I want earl grey tea” same with chai.
to them hummus is mashed vegetable with tahini , because in their country there is avocado hummus, Red beet hummus, also they have chocolate hummus. They probably have more hummus variety

Really? Hummus Hummus. Man why are you just telling us this? You know I didn’t know.
Totally makes a difference taking the skins off sooooo much smoother
Oh so true! Took me a minute to figure that out! Had some store bought from three different places recently, and you could definitely tell the ones that had the skins still on them even slightly. Little rougher around the edges. The ones that were too smooth you knew that they used a lot of sunflower seed oil. And the flavors are nothing like homemade… This really is a very simple wonderful recipe…
Cumin makes such a difference ! I also add garlic cooked in olive oil and a few tablespoons of that garlic infused oil. Mama Mia 😋
Cool. It's like having 2 in 1 ingredient. How long can you store cook/fry garlic in EVOoil?
i’m just wondering why this doesn’t have more views, and why this channel don’t have more subscribers. Keep the videos coming, i love this channel, looks amazing!!
Thank you 👌🤗🥰
Add ice water right at the end of mixing to make it completely smooth. Little trick.
Thanks
Pro tip: To make it even more creamier, use ice instead of water when you blend it. You're welcome.
pro tip: eat garantina its better than whatever creamy hummus you ate

Awesome 👍🏼👍🏼 and it makes it more brighter colour ! Like whiter yellow
outstanding presentation !!!
I joined this channel because of this video !!!
I almost fell asleep it look so comforting ❤
I tried your recipe ❤ it was amazing 😮😮😮 WOOOOOOOOOOOOW
As a BlaXiCaN, I love my Mexican food, but I've spent time in Iraq and learned to love Arabic food. I appreciate you making this video!🫡👍🏼
omg amazing! i never seen this method of making hummus looks perfect 😍
So yummy! Thanks for sharing. 👍👍
So good! Thank you!
Handsome, one tip...add some ice cubes when u grind hummus,it will gv it a very creamy texture..
Yum 😋
You are using the best tahini for your recipe ❤
Looks great tastes greater with bandaid effect
I love making hummus
I LOVE hummus Yours looks Delicious 🥰⚘⚘⚘🙏
Thai coconut curry hummus is the best hotter than sin in church but the best with fresh warm pretzels 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
I don't like coconut, and though I like spicy hot food, I don't like the flavor of curry. I've never tried a spicy hot hummus. I may have to try to make a Thai pepper/olive oil to pour on. I love chopped purple olives on top.
Which brand of tahini are you using? Thanks for sharing. Happy healthy eating.🪴🥗🥒😋I’ll be making this this weekend for my friend.
Love this! Will try today!!
Very delicious and easy right ❤
Love your recipes... and you!!! 😍👌
Hranu nam daruje priroda kao i humus❤❤❤
Just wondering, but whay did you remove the core of the garlic? I've never seen anyone do that before...
Garlic core is bitter when eaten raw
I usually add 2 ice cubes and two table spoons of milk in while in the mixer, does it justice.
Love hummus
Thank looks delicious 😊🤤
Bravo
So, if youre someone who never buys tahini or chickpeas but does always have other beans and sunflower seeds, can i use them instead?
Not sure I understand boiling canned chic peas. Maybe it's smoother without the skins, but when you're a plant based eater for health, you keep every little bit of our wonderful whole foods. Also you can enjoy Hummus without oil, and salt. A handful of toasted sesame seeds will substitute for commercially processed tahini. I use a pressure cooker to cook garbonzo beans from scratch. Takes about 20 min you can soak, but I don't plan ahead much. Plenty of garlic, and lemon some cumin. Add cooking broth to the consistency you want. You can thicken no salt added vegi broth, if you want that mouth feel of oil. Use corn starch, or uzu, or tapioca flour, regular flour, or agar to thicken... also cooking it down helps. Nice to see how you do it, but the closer we stay to nature, the better for health.
Oil and salt isn't bad for health, you muppet.
I liked the video, except the bandage rubbing the chickpeas part. But I love chickpeas and hummus, and seeing the creation of it made my day.
Wow looks so good 👍
Just wanted to know if the skin is unhealthy
Good hummus recipe!
Thank you!
Easy right?

don’t you always make hummus with chickpeas lol (no hate just what i know)
iS iT
Does it get more creamy with ninja food processor chef ?
Everything is alright except for the tahini, you need waaay more than that and make sure to get a good quality one, for this much hummus i'd put 3/4 of the package, that is why you hummus looks kinda chunky not creamy
Love u dear ❤️😘❤️ GOD bless you 🤗
Hi I just want to ask why we do need to remove the core of the garlic?
I can’t stop looking at the bandaid
How long can we store this?
What if you added Greek yogurt to this recipe, would it make it better?
Just curious...why remove the core of the %arlic?
Why removing the garlic core?
Why remove the center of the garlic clove?
Is there a hummus not made with chickpea? If so, what's the substitute?
the whole point of hummus is that its made with chickpeas 😅
@@paige3944 he called it "chickpea hummus", so I was curious if there was another type of hummus lol. I've never heard anyone say "chickpea hummus". I'm used to others just calling it "hummus ".
You can replace chickpeas with pinto beans but then it’s called fava. Chickpea hummus is a wrong use I think😂
Beets or lentils could be prepared like Hummus.
Why do you finely cut the garlic?? I Gose in the food processor???
Im sorry but i work in a hummus place and cant watch this without cringing
هي اكلة شعبية بسوريا اسمها مسبحه
I know taking the skin off makes it more smooth but the fibre gets lower
Why remove garlic core? Curious
Isnt all hummus made with chickpeas?
❤️
How to make tahini
I never separate the skin
Do you put onion in hummus?
Ah yes bandage flavour
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🤤❤️
The grinders way cheaper than yours can take care of the skin to make as good a hummus. Don't remove the skin.
This is great but I would rather make this masaledar with its structural integrity... offered by someone else then I would love it
I feel for your war
What was the point of removing a garlics core…?
All hummus is chickpea hummus right
bro try out garantina that shit slaps
Add much more garlic
Boil canned chickpeas?
Where is the ice in the mixture?
Hummus is the Arabic word for chickpeas, so calling it chickpeas hummus is like saying chickpeas chickpeas. Kinda of like chai tea = tea tea and naan bread = bread bread.
It's like you just watched video on how bao is bun so saying bao bun is bun bun 🤔
Or hice cream gelato = hice cream hice cream!
I don't think Nan equals to bread , especially when bread is this fluffy loaf . I can eat Nan by its own and that's basically what I eat for breakfast sometimes, but i can't swallow bread on its own.
I don't understand why though, they both are basically flour and water..
So what he said it twice in different language. The whole point of UA-cam cooking is mostly to people who are not exposed to international spices and dish. Let's encourage him
@@gelilaselassie7394 I'm a subscriber so I do support his work. There's nothing wrong with correcting language for future reference.
For all you Hummus Nazis out there . He clearly isn't Arab . But he's certainly diversifying his palate and his content . Which is more than i can say for any of you aggressors here . Leave him be . Add more garlic or ice or whatever it is that suits you . Let him do his thing. Always appreciate someone's hardwork.
Welcome to the internet
Amen!

@@lordofhallows2664 how is that a come back to anything
I can’t give you enough thumbs up for this recipe❤️🌺🌸❤️
Put baking soda in the water, that will break down the skins and you can skip that tedious process of peeling them. It works every time.
Don't. Changes the taste of the chickpeas.
Boil from dry, the skins desolve without the baking soda
Baking soda leaves a taste ad some people don't like it
You can rinse them after. You only need half a teaspoon, it doesn't really leave a taste anyway
@@Aiel-Necromancer only if you have a very good one. But there's a texture difference, no matter what. It totally depends on each person's preferences
I really loved this recipe and it doesn’t hurt that you’re adorable 😜
Well done brother!, Though you should add ice cubes while mixing with a little bit of olive oil ( traditionally ) also hummus means chickpeas in arabic and after you plate it you should add a ton of olive oil over it so you dont get dry and the chunk feel
Ngl it looks great well done
I've had hummus made with kidney beans before 😋 yum.
Coming from an Arab woman… you need way more garlic lol that probably tastes so bland. And yes like everyone said, hummus is always made with chickpeas so no need to call it “chickpea hummus” 😂
Yeah that looked super bland, more garlic, oil and tahini!!!!
the original hummus doesn't have garlic in it , that is an American addition !
@@pianista1969 Not true it's always added
Hummus in English speaking cultures is a little different, bean mash, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. I've made hummus with red beans, black beans, Fava beans. It's like Chai just means tea, but many varieties of tea are acknowledged with Chai being one type
@@Dragonballalmanac Oh really I didnt realise that English speaking culture get to bastardized the meaning of peoples languages and cultural foods. Hummus literally means chickpeas. It's not the same as saying chai tea. You literally are saying eg fava bean chickpea . Also there are Arabs who speak English rather than pardoning ignorance learn something
Isn't all hummus chickpea hummus?
Thank you for posting. I was just thinking about trying to make some.
This is a great recipe with much less fat than the other ones I have seen ❤
lol omg I followed another recipe that asked for 10 cloves of garlic, this looks like it's gonna be extremely mellow
You're the male version of the Italian gal.. that cooks on this channel.. and you fit..everybody else it looks fake.. but you fit.. nice job.. thumbs up!!!👍
lsraelis are trying to steal this dish. 🇵🇸🇵🇸
Israelis have been eating Hummus for thousands of years since the Cannanites created Israel. No more hashish for you.
Canned is already boiled though!!
Best hummus recipe is on Rafika's Kitchen channel . I tried so many recipes, none compares.
Blend it with ice
Chickpea is my hiking trail name for obvious reasons. Just made and delicious. I messed up with the timing of the blending and just blended all at one ante it is still amazing. Thank you. 🌱
ok peoples we're all on the same page that he's using chic peas in this hummus.... this recipe looks like it's gonna make sum ridiculously yummmy hummus n I'll make mine super creamy.... much thanks!
Looks delicious I need to get a food processor .
Can use a blender for this.
@@candecarro Should work
This is on point, I absolutely suck at cooking, I've even burnt but I made thi with great success.
This is chickpea hummus...... Umm that is how hummus is made. Chickpeas, olive oil and garlic. Blend until smooth, add lemon and salt. Done.
Recipe looks good but don’t really understand why we have to use the inside of the garlic in the hummus lol
I love hummus and eat it with maan bread . YUMMMMY ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜❤️
There is no need to remove the skins for a smooth hummus. Plus not enough garlic. Use olive oil instead of water to help get it smooth and before adding the tahini you should wisk it together with the lemon juice separately before adding it ( the tahini thing is a little trick from my Lebanese grandmother. changes the flavour of the tahini) though I will say this is much better than Jamie Olivers attempt
If you add an ice or cold water it will be creamy ,but any way it's tasty 😋😋😋
Why do people remove the ‘skins’? It’s just fibre, and it all gets blended! Seems pointless. Also, not enough garlic or cumin!
It does not become as smooth with the skins.
It needs more garlic. Why did you remove the Core?
Right! No core to remove. Needs like at least 3 or 4 cloves
Because of digestion.
Looks delicious 👍
This looks good for canned chickpeas the one we have in the market is way small
Please go vegan! 🌱
Thank you for the recipe. Always loving your wholesome recipes❤❤❤❤
