I’ve always said I need to watch Call the Midwife, it looks right up my street! Dinner looked lovely too, Maidstone isn’t far from us so many have to give The Potting She’d a visit x
Would highly recommend the potting shed! It was lovely! And the outside part looked so nice too! Call the midwife is such a cosy watch, but I will warn you that a lot of the episodes are so emotional so have tissues nearby xxx
You’ve definitely made me want to watch Call the Midwife. Loved the vlog. Martyn, I especially love when you talk about the North East - gets me thinking about home. Beamish is amazing, I went a few years ago when I was visiting family and it’s just as good as an adult. You should definitely take Helena sometime ❤️
I really would love to go to Beamish, it is definitely on our list when we next visit the north east. There is so much up there that I want to explore! Would highly recommend Call the Midwife! Enjoy! It’s all on bbc iplayer 😊
I loved watching Call the Midwife as I read all 3 books by Jennifer Worth as they were her based on her memoirs! Sadly she died a few years ago I think
I have the first book, and need to finish reading it. Would love to read them all afterwards too! Xx

My name is Helena too , pronounced just like you do . Have you ever been called He-Lena ( the other pronunciation?) that drives me nuts . But …people who never met you don’t know how you pronounce your name and just pronounce it their way , can’t blame them . I’ve been watching CTM since 2012 and I’ve watched each episode at least twice if not more . I’m from Canada and this tour is on my to do list . However getting there would need the pandemic to be over and also tons of money and a visa. Still maybe there’s some hope of me going there before CTM and the tours end . CTM is on until 2024 so might happen fingers crossed . Glad you had fun on your trip!
Ahhh always a pleasure to meet another Helena! 😊 yep I’ve had my name pronounced quite a few different ways, I rarely meet someone else called Helena though and pronounced the same way so it’s always exciting when I do! So happy that Call the midwife has been extended! I don’t want it to ever end! I hope you do get to visit one day 😊🤞 x

The buildings in Chatham Dockyard were built are Georgian. So built in 1700s not 1950s

I watched some of ctmw on the boundary estate ligonia road outside wargrave house on the first ever council estate in Britain : boundary estate London e2 the estate is famous within itself and mr selfride, gorilla with Siri’s elder was filmed outside my door when I lived there
