Nice traditional skill to get more wear from the shirt. My mum called it turning a collar. 👍🏻

Sew simple! 😊 I recently rediscovered one if my shirts with a damaged collar and was wondering how to fix. Glad to see it is possible. Off to the laundromat I go! 😄

Yes mother's have turned collars for years, may have started during the 1st world war or even before. I'm 70 and my grandmother did it often.

    表と裏を変えるのは分かるけど 色褪せしてたら厳しそうですね。

Perché buttare via una cosa che si può ancora usare? Basta un minimo di manualità.

Well that could be an option, but what if they can’t afford to just go out & buy a new one? Or what if they were unable to go out & buy a new one because of some sort of disorder/disability? Or another option is what if that shirt is vintage, & you can’t buy a shirt like that anymore, or find material to match it w/? Then, what? You do the only thing you can do which is repair it? If you’re able/& it’s doable for you to do so, then have @ it then & go buy a new one. I think that for the majority all the other options might make more sense? You seem like the type of person who probably would not pay someone else to fix it when you can just spend the money & buy another one. You seem like you’re blessed, privileged, & maybe a little bit spoiled to be able to make that the only option. I say more power to you then. What you’ve probably never experienced is the satisfaction that comes from doing something well, & being able to do it yourself. Others might even think that you had mad skills, or a whole lot of patience for a project like this. Your reply makes you appear as though you’re a young person. If this video wasn’t your thing, then show them the courtesy of not being rude about it. Just don’t watch it & don’t reply. No one is forcing you to watch.
