In 1981, when the teenage me was listening to this in boarding school in Switzerland (recorded via Radio Luxembourg on my mix-tape), I didn’t realise that the composer would play the same song in my living room in Merseyside 😊
It was even less likely that I would take up the guitar in my second half-century and try to learn how to play and sing it.
Watching this video, I note that Jo Bushell is the only musician in it who has not played in my living room.
Jo- we’re gonna have to remedy that when the locks are weleased… 😊
