Mauser, Blaser and Sauer are all made in the same factory. Most likely by the same robots and machines. I got myself a new Mauser M12 extreme 30-06 and can quickly switch between a Dokter red dot and a 3-12*56 Zeiss HT. I am very happy with it. Was not prepared to pay twice as much for a Blaser.
It could have been shot placement or impact, but it is clear that the " green " ammunition is less affective and some would argue less ethical than lead ammunition.
I agree. But those anti-hunting morons think that a few grams of lead will contaminate the whole forrest. Good thing we have good scopes these days and good rifles so we can compensate for shitty ammo with good shot placement.
I saw where they were culling deer in Texas 40+ deer. The green ammo worked but they did not go down as fast. They used half regular bullets half green bullets
90 grain sako game heads in the .243 drops roe in 2 steps. It's clear that the tin bullet in 308 didn't do the job. Would have like to see the heart and lungs to make a full opinion. But suspect the bullet failed to dump the ft lbs on the way through.
I’ve shot whitetails with the exact gun, exact load, from the same stand, in the exact same spot on the body from the exact same angle. Some run, some don’t. It just depends on the fight in the animal. You can’t pass judgment on one kill on a video. You have to test it yourself.
@@JayDoug when you speak for germany thats partially true, roebuck would be 1000j without distinct caliber , while other game larger than that need 2000j and 6.5mm.
Doesn’t matter what you shoot with, I shot a roe with a 7RemMag, it ran 10 meters, and a buddy shot one with a 300wbymag, it ran a little further; Unless you use a bullet that shatters upon impact, the animal may do a little run
I'd be interested to know if it's just me or does the footage show a roe doe being shot in the field, but on the follow up in the wood they find what looks to me like a button buck. Very strange and why not show what effect to the carcass these lead free bullets do!!!!!
Not a big fan of synthetic stocks in bolt action rifles, levers, certain shotguns. Don't mind them in Glocks or AR's. In a Mauser it feels like heresy, welcome to the Savage club.
I shoot roe and muntjac with a 243 win ,and bigger fallow ,red with 270 and 30-06 , to be honest that ammo is shit , if you want lead free why not use Barnes 150 grn
Boy.... my Scottish grandfather... is shaking his head no gutting, skinning and carrying that wee little deer out... just leaving it lay in the woods! I'd be wondering how you make your next birthday unscathed.
I was about to get an M12 but, Tikka T3x Sporter stole my heart. :)
The Spectator other way round for me...

The only Mauser I can buy is the 03, as I have to shoot off my left shoulder. Almost nothing is open to lefties.
John Shields heym makes bolt guns for lefties
Please tell Mauser to do carbine versions of the M12 & M18.

I’ve not been impressed by res green but sadly they were all that I could get hold of when needing to change to non lead

Shaun Scott, I dropped a large fallow buck with my M12 .308 last week. I’d expect a roe to drop on the spot too.

You shot that little deer with a 308 you kidding me can’t be much knock down power with that ammo. You can kill an elk with a 308
But it’s tin smh
In Europe you need 2000 joules of energy and a minimum 6.5 mm bullet to kill roe buck and larger game

I have Mauser M12 but b is short I think 20 inches some of my friends said 20 inches b is not good for long range
My m12 caliber is 308
Хороший карабин. (Выстрел тоже не плохой.)
imo the HEYM SR21 is a much better choice in that price range.
westfälischer Jung much more craftsmanship put into the heym

Nice..

Why do all these take very high lung shots near the spine if they let me use my 308 on them they would probably run 5 yards with a blown up heart
❤
What caliber

.308 with 180 grains always works. Never had problems
Зачем вам спонсор...!? Вы и без того богатеи...!!! Проспонсируйте меня на приобретение данного карабина...!!!
It ain't controll feed... Pretty bad looking for mauser.
My M18 does the same sometimes you have to force the bolt down hopefully it gets better in time .

A very intelligent young woman.
there's nothing primal about a rifle lol wtf
