I love it. Thank you so very much for this detailed breakdown. I usually struggle to understand what exactly is the group of baseplates/mounts and this video showed in perfectly. Once again, thank you!
I sense the perfect amount of torque each time you tighten a screw. Every time I tighten a screw on a camera I have the same thought.. did I tighten this too much or too little. 😂
nice...I just got my first red! I like your channel and trust your experience...Do I NEED an IO adapter or is it ok to power my small HD Indi 7 via D tap straight to the battery? I hear that's not the best practice...
Congrats! It is definitely beneficial to use a breaker box, but I’ve powered wireless transmitters straight from battery no problem. Just follow SDI protocol
@@TylerEdwards thanks! For that, it’s ok to leave SDI plugged into monitor the whole time and just plug and unplug from the camera right? Or does SDI need to be disconnected from both ends each time? I’ve heard both
Doesn’t matter. The whole reason why SDI ports get fried is because something is not properly grounded. Make sure you are using a shielded 12G SDI cable too. Don’t use 3G or anything else. Mutiny, thomson visuals and nine volt are some good options. Power up all accessories (this confirms proper ground) then plug in SDI.
@@TylerEdwards sweet. That makes it a lot easier than having to plug both ends in each time.. now I can just leave connected to monitor.. that was bugging me after just one day lol
Love it! Never watched a gear vid that made the back of my neck tingle.
Love to hear it
Super helpful 💯
Glad it was helpful!
That monitor adapter! I need that!

Welcome to ASMR Tyler Edwards.
Great to be here. No clue what I'm doing lol
I love this!
Thanks!
Why was this so satisfying to watch? Literally grabbed a cold beer and relaxed with my feet up.
No BS, that scenario is EXACTLY what I hoped the scenario would be for the viewer.
@@TylerEdwards mission accomplished sir!!
Love it brotha. Just got mine, can't wait to get it setup!
Let's go!!! Can't wait to see the magic you make with it dude!

I also for some reason treat it as if it is a life or death decision. So much weight into that thought lol
Thanks for the helpful video. May I ask who makes the tool you are using? Also is that a special kind of mat you have laid out on the table?
I the tool is by RED and the mat is just a desk mat I got off Amazon
@@TylerEdwards thank you! Is that the “RED SIDEWINDER”?
👌
Always a treat when you drop by!
