Haven't tried these particular ones but recently have tried chemical guys quick detailer wax and was extremely impressed with it. So impressed I spent $15 on chemical brothers 16oz bottle of their carwash soap and still highly impressed with the results from both chemical guys products. Also have noticed that my new truck still looks clean even after days of rain ,when most vehicles would have residue from road spray.

I bet you it would work perfectly if you mixed both of them together in a really nice and clean container, shake them up really well together (very important) and flush both of them down the toilet..
The end results of your testing confirmed my suspicions at the onset of removal--also confirmed by previous videos. In theory, since CG is harder to remove, it *should* be more durable. I get the appeal of both though, on one hand CG provides a bit more durability and McGuiars is much easier to remove. Kind of depends on how much time you have to detail and how often you want to be detailing your vehicle. I'd still probably lean towards the CG as a topper over some sort of Carnauba Wax.

I'm seeing alot of comments bashing CG due to high prices compared to brands you see at auto stores. CG is actually way cheaper than most on a lot of their products. Reason being they sell full concentrates like a 64oz bottle of APC for $20 when delitued 20:1 makes close to 100 12oz APC spray bottles. That's insane! That's $0.20 each bottle. Again some of their items are expensive but the savings you get from other items like APC, Window Cleaner, Carpet Cleaner, tire cleaner and shine, and also soap for foam cannon which I have a gallon of Mr. Pink and I wash multiple cars every weekend and still havent put a decent size dent in the bottle and it's been 7 months now, makes buying those more expensive items seem way less expensive or atleast doesnt feel like its denting your pockets compared to buying only 1 bottle of meguiars and it's already premixed for $12. Just throwing my hat into the ring :)

Could the paint itself. Some of the new Mercedes hoods are hazy even after multi step polish. It could be orange peel. Also could be due to low quality repaint.
Don’t apply product in circular motions bud. Any FOD that gets caught under your applicator will create circular scratches which is way harder to buff out.
IMO no need to rub the iron remover or APC, u would expect removal. Spray it with no rubbing, as if u over sprayed from cleaning wheels or engine. See what car washes effect it, that would be more of a real scenario. How many washes till it washes away from actual car wash shampoos. Thanks for the video.

I applied Hydro Slick to my new Tesla. Holy cow what a difference. I’ve been driving in the rain for the last few weeks and once I park in the garage everything just sheets off and the car looks freshly washed. I know it won’t last long but so far I’m going on a month with it. I will be using the ceramic car wash to see if I can maintain it for at least through the Sacramento “winter”.
THANK YOU for making a no nonsense, professional, relatable demonstration video on car care. It’s usually all thug shorts, flat hats, and trap music with trashy gun cocking sound effects (looking at you Avalon King). Subbing out of gratitude.
Glad I looked this up. I almost bought the McGuires today over chemical guys... but the end result is so close I think I’ll stick with the cheaper option at the end of the day. Going to buy the McGuires now 👍
The end result really wasn't that close. The Chemical Guys was still sheeting water pretty well at the end. The Meguiars wasn't even close. He also didn't prepare the surface properly for the Chemical guys, which means he probably didn't the Meguiars either. Chemical Guys says right on their website to wash and clay bar. I know damn well he didn't clay bar first. Can't do an accurate review of a product if you're not following their basic recommendations. Wash that panel, clay bar it, then polish it to remove swirls and small imperfections THEN apply the Chemical Guys and Meguiars and see which does better.
@@vandersgarage4682 you dont *need* to polish or compound depending on how feel of a clay job you did. If your paint has any imperfections (12+ year old car) definitely do all of CG's steps. I'm actually about to wash>clay>wash>ceramic>wax (cutting out a few CG steps) and I'll let you know the results
I’m about to use the chemical guys stuff on a 22 year old car that I spent 3 days polishing and glazing. Their stuff is always a little better in my experience
Living in northern New Hampshire none of that will work . Mountain driving . between mud season snow and pine trees. You gotta be happy half that crap comes off
Hey Jimbo, not related to this video but a huge thanks for turning me onto TW seal & shine. Used it on my Suzuki Equator & my wife’s Kia Sorento. One black & one white. And just WOW! Took 30 min total for both and the slickness is amazing. Here in Chicago this time of year the last thing you wanna do is be outside long. Been over a month for the truck and this AM the snow literally just fell right off.
Yeah, I live in the NorthEast and get the snow too...I like the Seal N Shine and The Ceramic Coating spray. The Ceramic Spray seems to give higher gloss and covers slight swirl scratches along with giving weather protection...Seal N Shine not as much gloss as the ceramic, but it lasts long for a spray wax/polish. Both are equally good in MY opinion. I am going to stay away from these two products Jimbo just gave the torture test to. Not enough protection.
Jeff Eppenger I’ve used many products although I haven’t tried bead maker. However this spray wax destroys anything else I’ve used. Here in Chicago we have had rain, snow & -20 windchills and none of them have killed it yet. And the fact that i can do my truck in 20 minutes really can’t be beat.
Jeff Eppenger........BM is very slick and glossy, but no durability. It only last a week or two for me. It’s more of a detail spray. S&S doesn’t have the most gloss, but is among the most durable spray-ons.
I tried to give chemical guys so many tries and the benefit of the doubt. Used their diablo wheel cleaner and it stripped the clear coat off my wheels. I tried to used their leather serum and leather cleaner and it both stripped the leather dye in front of my eyes. Never have i seen this in 20 years of detailing my leather. Problem with chemical guys is they try to push out so many products out, they do not have the sufficient R&D in these products (except maybe a few of their car washes). Just because it smells good doesnt mean it's a quality product. Dont let those senses fool you. That said, i could not care less for meguiars either.
@@texmexed8865 I use Sonax ceramic spray with decent results. Even The Last Coat works pretty well. It wears off after a few months though. I was using beadmaker spray but it doesnt last as long, it doesnt bond. For interior cleaning leather/vinyl, i use Carpro inside which is meant for dilution; I also use Lithium inner space. For wheel cleaning, you can Optimum power clean but make sure to dilute it and not let it dry. For paint cleaning, anything that's PH neutral but you can use optimum power clean as a spot treater but be mindful that it's strong stuff.

Ok just a thought to these ppl complaining about these "torture" tests. Firstly you either watched the video and or at least clicked on it. So it peaked your intrest in some way. As for the tests yeah you aren't putting that harsh of chemicals on your vehicle but doesnt this show you how well it will hold up just at an accelerated pace? When you take your car to a car wash or wash it yourself aren't you subjecting it to detergents of some kind? Or simply driving behind another car eating their road grime and any chemicals the road has to offer. I know jimbo benefits from these videos but I'm pretty sure we all take something away from them as well. So I say thank you jimbo screw the haters.
So you want someone to do a video where they wash and wax a car, not have any kind of control in the experiment ( because that's basically what this is, an experiment). Than you want that person to drive the car and wash it regularly over the course of a few weeks or months. And somehow keep it so that there is no change to the environment of said vehicle? At the heart of it this is a scientific experiment. He is going about it in a professional way. To the best of his knowledge he is controlling said experiment/test in a way that doesnt allow change in the process and he accelerates the process by using chemicals that may or may not be equal to chemicals we may encounter on the road and or at car washes. I'd say he is doing a fine job. If you can do something better maybe you should try it out and show everyone instead of complaining and saying he is doing a fine job. I'm willing to bet most people who are complaining also don't agree with politicians or the way something in the world is run. But that same person wont actually try to do something about it. Rant over sorry jimbo
As a professional detailer I just bought 5 gallons of professional product for 80 bucks, i mix at 125 parts product to 1 part water... and it still works better than this ...if it's available to the public.... it's probably a rip off
I honestly dont think Turtle Wax really knew what they had with the Seal N Shine! It came out at a low price, then when everyone was raving about it, they upped the price. They should have saved introducing that product until this last Vegas convention.
Expected more from Meguiars Liquid Wax but this is on the same level as the Spray version (the famous blue bottle). It is always easy to use the spray if the durability is same
From what I've seen it's not *that* bad. Sure, there's better products out there, but it still protects. From what I've seen it excels in gloss so that's a plus? All around I think it's an good product but not amazing. I picked up a bottle myself just to see for myself. I also like trying different waxes and like adding different ones to my collection.
Nothing like a good 3 step with an orbital buffer. That shit wont get into the paint to clean, put back nutrients, and cover with a hard shell coating of wax. Mequiers no2, pre-treatment, no7 resealer glaze, and no 26 wax. That has worked for me for years.
Mick Holgate I like that but I always have that weird rainbow effect I have to buff off with a microfiber towel which makes it a pain because the. I’m basically waxing like a normal paste wax
It's called a Bhrule blaster they are about £50 in the UK. You get 3 x nossle attachments. I wouldn't be without mine. In the USA I believe they are called Master Blaster. Hope this helps.
Interesting. I have yet to use a ceramic product and honestly for the money makes me want to stay old school and continue with the old yellow carnuba 2 times a year with a quick detailer and quick waxes to maintain.
I wash and wax my car once a week so I feel I don’t need to use anything expensive and long lasting. I’ve even had good results with good old Turtle wax products.
Do you feel that spray wax offers less protection against road rash from highway travel than a liquid or paste wax? I feel that the process of hand buffing in a traditional wax and waiting for a haze to form before removing, really adds a better barrier against small debris on the road doing damage to the front of the vehicle. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!
To close to justify the extra cost!! U have the best comparisons on UA-cam bro! I would like to see a torture test using a quality wash and wax to see how long that takes to make go flat
@@Spirit2TT I always got better results when going in direct lines and not in circular motion. I also had better results, my Hydroslick is still like day one 3 months after applying.
@@Mikey6048 with wax it really doesn't matter, after all many apply thinly with a da which is a circular motion. Cross hatch some ceramics, others are just straight line overlapping
The Chemical Guys seemed to fair just a tad better, but your right I want something with more of long lasting effect. Considering my car is ceramic coated anyway I would be looking for something that would boost the longevity and help it last longer than the 5 year warranty.
You do not like the Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray? I like that one, very slick and nice gloss. But I certainly agree with you overall on your point of the older "waxes" possibly being better!
@Ben Daulton I am seriously thinking about getting a ceramic coating in the Spring from Brian at Apex Detail. I have a new black SUV and it's a full time job keeping that looking great especially during the winters here in the NorthEast. Wish I lived somewhere where there was NO winter! lol I just got done using Chemical Guys Extreme Top Coat Sealant w/Carnauba. I just bought the little bottle and will see how it holds up. I always use a "spray wax" everytime I wash my vehicle. I always like that "just waxed" wet look and my tires coated with McGuiars Insane Shine.
Only thing I use from Chemical guys is their hex logic pads, and that is only because they are cheaper than Meguiars ones, at least in my country. Other stuff from Chemicals is product overlapping, overpriced mess; not worth money or pre purchase research. Also would go rather for spray ceramic than liquid one. It's is much faster and easier to use.
Down Under Garage In Europe too, quantum ones are great, though here in Europe there are many brands that have same type of pads now with hole in center. Like Honeycomb Combinatiin, that aren’t know that well but are as good and cheaper than chemicals ones.
I am just guessing based on how some 100% synthetic sealants work. I am thinking the carnauba is coming off but the ceramics are staying behind which is why it still sheets nicely but does not bead. Personally i think sheeting is better as it makes it quicker and easier to dry preventing waterspots. Which is why i loved NXT even though people were wrongly assuming it didnt last because of the lack of beading but because everyone likes beading water everyone is pushing these hybrids.
The CG product is rated to high. The MSRP is 57 I Don't think so! The 3m (Meguiars) is better priced & is correctly Rated. My winner is 3m (Again Meguiars)
I applied to the Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Paste and I really liked it! Super forgiving/easy to use. Haven’t torture tested it but it’s on my daily so it will get tortured.
Apex Mobile Detailing & Ceramic Coatings LLC i have me guiarás hybrid ceramic on my daily right now, took it for some highway miles and got some bug splats on it LOL little bit of water and it just cleared off soo easily
The Meguair's Liquid SPRAY Wax is THE best thing I've used in the past 10 years. I wouldn't trade it for e absolutely anything else at this point, not a paste, not a spray, not a gel.
@@jeffreylangan344 I was referring to the ceramic spray wax, but I have both the detailer and the wax - and both are amazing! Keep in mind that the detailer is a... well, a detailer, so it will just give a temporary protection.
I did a test comparison with 3d POXY (for sheeting), Gyeon WetCoat & Turtle wax seal & shine. Gyeon wetcoat got first in water beading and sheeting, then seal & shine and POXY last . Poxy is WAY Glossier than both though. Gyeon wetcoat is my go to for spray and rinse sealant.
Chemical guys is better overall. You get what you pay for. To be fair, you would spray all of these harsh chemicals BEFORE doing these ceramics. They look the same almost when you applied them. So with that being said the Meguiars is good for people on a budget. Chemical Guys if you want the best consumer products.
One thing to note is if you have paint chips or scratches and use these products it will seal the clear coat and those paint chips or scratches will never be able to be fixed people need to clarify more
Pretty disappointed that liquid megs seems less durable. I was curious if the trade off would be better slickness or gloss but it didn't have a single wow factor vs the HCW spray that came out way earlier in the year. Looks pretty on the shelf though so maybe it will inspire you to use it more often for the fun factor. I see pros will easily pass on this.
William Pineo maybe I’m doing it wrong but I found that spraying in on and waiting 10 minutes to let it dry and then wiping it off works amazing. It basically turned to dust and just wiped off.
I noticed with the CG, least on my car that after roughly 3-4 washes it pretty much disappears partially, and this is with PH balanced shampoo. So that's basically 1 months time, as I try to wash my car once a week. Not too happy with the CG ceramic atm, will be trying some from Griot's here shortly, hopefully with better durability.
BTW, if you say "cheap vs expensive"(left to right), and the thumbnail shows chemical guys vs (any brand), you're saying chemical guys is the "cheap" brand...
I used to do auto detailing when I release in high school this is back in 1995 and also started my own business did that for about 15 years and basically didn't want to do it anymore my father has a 1988 Notch Mustang 5.0 completely restored was at a car show over by us Belmont racetrack Long Island New York and purchase the new ceramic wax the guy told him to wax a vehicle let it cure and then remove but didn't explain not to do it in 90 plus degree direct sunlight it took every trick in every chemical compound glaze play ball multiple times to remove the wax from the vehicle one piece of advice to anyone make sure you do this in the shade or indoors or late in the evening don't do it in high heat direct sunlight
You detailed for 15 years and dont know not to apply ANY product, especially wax based products under direct sun light? The heat will bake that sucker onto the paint.
What's the point in ceramic wax anyways when they both just work like regular wax and dies just as fast too, I'll either get a real ceramic coating or just a good waxing instead
What a waste of money $40 for Chemical Guys lol. $15 for a bottle of Rejex and its durable as hell and sheets water really good. Easy on easy off and cheap.
The real winner of the torture test is the Eagle One Black & Plasti-Coat Wheel Cleaner. I’ll bet that you’ve helped sell more of that than any of the ceramic wax products. 😀
Seal N Shine is the best bang for your buck when it comes to paint protectant. At least when labor costs are moot. If you know how to apply a real ceramic then there’s your answer, otherwise, Seal N Shine.
A lot of sealants make plastics look good - how does this compare to say armorall shield sealant which brings plastics back to black? ITs my winter go-to.
It would be good to see the hydro slick compared the new Pro Hybrid Ceramic Sealant when it comes out. It's supposed to be a step up from the ceramic wax and still cost 10 bucks less than the chemical guys.
I tossed my last 2 bottles of seal n shine in the garbage this weekend. Tired of the streaking on my black truck. I think I will go back to the jescar powerlock plus and beadmaker until the new meguiars stuff comes out in the the beginning of the year
You have to apply it correctly. Out of direct sunlight, cool panel, spray your microfiber towel and not the panel. Too much product will make it streak. I've actually gone to Mckees 37 10min paint sealant. Wipe on and walk away. Can get 30-40 vehicles per bottle.
You might be using too much product and that is what causes the streaking...I am one to go overboard on stuff like that myself...but I listened to everyone and applied less spray and I had no streaking.
TX I wash my truck indoors in an underground parking garage. I always spray directly on towel and never use too much with any product. I always start with less, then do more if needed with any product. I’m very familiar with application processes on a lot of products as well. This is the only stuff I’ve really ever had issues with, as well as a lot of other people. How are you liking the Mckees?
@@24skeemers sorry you're having trouble with it. Ive used 8 bottles of it lol. For the Mckees, I wont use anything else as a mobile detailer. Wipe on and walk away. So quick and easy. The gloss is amazing. I can get around 40 vehicles out of a $40 bottle.
Question: In this day and age, where do liquid waxes fall in the detailing world? It seems spray sealants outlast and are easier to apply. Are we reaching a point where waxes won’t be used anymore?
I’m asking myself the same question. The only thing I can think of is there maybe still some people that like applying wax the old school way, but it still doesn’t make sense to me.
That’s what I was thinking as well. And not so much they like it, it’s just what they’ve always known. It seems to have come down to ceramic coatings or spray sealants. As a part time detailer, it’s really changed the way I look at the way I do things.
@@autodetailingpodcast yeah.. it's a Drag to apply a paste wax on a car. Takes forever. Liquid on a DA is quicker but still takes a good while. Spray sealants have saved me so much time its ridiculous. I can detail 2 cars now before with paste waxes I could only do 1 in 2 hours
David Saucedo I have two tins of wax Fusso and Megs Ultimate Paste. After Megs Hybrid Ceramic spray wax I don’t use them any more. Ultimate paste provide little more gloss on unpolished car. In every other way spray is way better and much much fatser to apply. So only makes sense to me these days is high durable ceramic that last 2-3 years or two times a year spray ceramic wax Alternative is maybe cleaner wax with DA to spray wax if car is neglected
Do you mean the Meguiars blue bottle? I am a Meguiars guy but must say I dont like the blue bottle ceramic spray too much. The Turtle Wax Ceramic spray and the Seal and Shine are my two favorites so far.
Yeah the blue one. Came out few months back. It does last pretty long. I haven’t tried the seal and shine or any of the new TW products yet. Honestly been using and loving beadmaker. I know it doesn’t last very long but love the look and slickness.
@@New-England-HiFi-Guy I'm new to all of this, and I cant for the life of me use the hybrid ceramic wax properly. It just streaks so much for me. I even went as far as using one spray per panel. It's just so thick! Any good videos or tips? I've basically stuck to griots poly wax
Lol I love the quik detailing spray. I actually use the quik detailer spray for my car and quik wax on my wheels. Seems to work but I do my car every 1-2 months depending on how much it rains
Megs Ultimate Quik Wax is awesome. I usually use Ultimate Liquid as the base and Ultimate Quik spray as the top layer, and everything has a great shine, and water beads and sheets well. It does wear off pretty fast, around two or three heavy rainfalls before it stops beading on the doors.

The chem guys was much faster at the end not “slightly”
THANK YOU for making a no nonsense, professional, relatable demonstration video on car care. It’s usually all thug shorts, flat hats, and trap music with trashy gun cocking sound effects (looking at you Avalon King). Subbing out of gratitude.
Thanks!
Glad I looked this up. I almost bought the McGuires today over chemical guys... but the end result is so close I think I’ll stick with the cheaper option at the end of the day. Going to buy the McGuires now 👍
Greg Calik ima Meguiars man myself! They don’t miss
I’m sorry
Right.. I did a 1997 and make it look brand new with chemical guys product's.
Living in northern New Hampshire none of that will work . Mountain driving . between mud season snow and pine trees. You gotta be happy half that crap comes off
Ya i only did one coat and the salt took it off in 2 weeks haha on my f150
What do you use?
You can wax over the chemical guys ceramic wax for more protection. It can be layered. Thanks for the video.
The noise the blower makes is from my nightmares
There’s not enough difference to pay twice as much for CG.
The Ceramic Spray seems to
give higher gloss and covers slight swirl scratches along with giving weather protection...Seal N Shine not as much gloss as the ceramic, but it lasts long for a spray wax/polish. Both are equally good in MY opinion. I am going to stay away from these two products Jimbo just gave the torture test to. Not enough protection.
That’s rad. It’s also a chicago based company.
How would the TW seal and shine be against P&S Bead Maker?
Hey Canoeshoe, l know it's a old post 2,yrs.... What do u use now in 2022, lve always valued pros/experienced opinions, Thanks in advance....✌️
@@canoeshoe I sure do appreciate u taking the time n to reply, lm going to screenshot it so l can remember, u spoke like a true pro, at 63 u learn to ask the experience as opposed to the hype or this week's flavor...lol l've worked on cars for 30yrs but as a Frame n Bodyman ,so thanks again Sir ✌️
I have use a few of CG products and to be honest it just not that good as many people make it seen (my personal opinion) I have used Maguire's products for years and I have never been disappointed, they just make great detail car products.
Meguiar's ceramic wax is awesome. Even after months and a 1500 mile road trip it's still holding strong.
did you just apply it once? looking into doing this
@@irrayplaceable1858 yeah just once and then topped it with their ceramic detailer every other wash.. That stuff is also amazing BTW.
@@tyquanwashington.8510 ahhh thank you for the quick response will definitely be buying then!!!
@@irrayplaceable1858 Np dude. They have both on sale rn at Walmart BTW.
Should apply that in straight lines with minimal pressure and not a circular motion. You're not buffing it, you're applying a coating.
Thanks rock!!
No, it doesn't.
Rant over sorry jimbo
the CG looks like it runs off a lot faster for sure after getting hammered. Might be worth it?
Decided I'm just going with an actual ceramic coating. Seems like you can't beat it
As a professional detailer I just bought 5 gallons of professional product for 80 bucks, i mix at 125 parts product to 1 part water... and it still works better than this ...if it's available to the public.... it's probably a rip off
Those side by side shots you added were crucial. Love that direct comparison
Seal n shine and Fusso coat will be the best for the next few years
Try out the ceramic spray from turtle wax it's awesome! Has better slickness and gloss then seal and shine 👌 I loved using it.
He probably means cost wise but yea, fusso and sealnshine Ftw
I honestly dont think Turtle Wax really knew what they had with the Seal N Shine! It came out at a low price, then when everyone was raving about it, they upped the price. They should have saved introducing that product until this last Vegas convention.
Expected more from Meguiars Liquid Wax but this is on the same level as the Spray version (the famous blue bottle). It is always easy to use the spray if the durability is same
Brother in law kills me because he's a cg fanboy so picked up hydroslick for a Christmas present....ahhh the things we do for family
I've personally found CarPro hydro2 lite and hydro2 to be the best out of any of the top named brands for hydrophobic behaviour.
Mick Holgate I like that but I always have that weird rainbow effect I have to buff off with a microfiber towel which makes it a pain because the. I’m basically waxing like a normal paste wax
Anthony Foley you’re putting too much on them if that’s is what is happening
What blower are you using to dry the panel?
It's called a Bhrule blaster they are about £50 in the UK. You get 3 x nossle attachments. I wouldn't be without mine. In the USA I believe they are called Master Blaster. Hope this helps.
The headphone destroyer 5000
Air blower
Interesting. I have yet to use a ceramic product and honestly for the money makes me want to stay old school and continue with the old yellow carnuba 2 times a year with a quick detailer and quick waxes to maintain.
The yellow carnuba works great! I love that stuff! I think it works the best out of all the products I’ve tried!
I wash and wax my car once a week so I feel I don’t need to use anything expensive and long lasting. I’ve even had good results with good old Turtle wax products.
Dang you wax once a week thats too much times you need to wax
I got my Meguiar's Liquid Wax on sale for $5 (WalMart). Can't beat the performance for this price.
Chemicals guys will never be better than meguiars
after torture tests of all these products, i want to know which products jimbo recommends!!!
Turtle Wax Ice Seal & Shine
Do you feel that spray wax offers less protection against road rash from highway travel than a liquid or paste wax? I feel that the process of hand buffing in a traditional wax and waiting for a haze to form before removing, really adds a better barrier against small debris on the road doing damage to the front of the vehicle. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!
To close to justify the extra cost!! U have the best comparisons on UA-cam bro! I would like to see a torture test using a quality wash and wax to see how long that takes to make go flat
I didn't see it that way. His comments played it that way but if you ignore what he says and watched the results, the CG product was much better.
Do NOT apply any Ceramic Coating in circular motion.
Its not a real coating, it ceramic infused wax like angelwax, therefore you can do it in circular motion and it doesnt matter
@@Spirit2TT I always got better results when going in direct lines and not in circular motion. I also had better results, my Hydroslick is still like day one 3 months after applying.
@@Spirit2TT Even wax you shouldn't do circular patterns.
@@Mikey6048 with wax it really doesn't matter, after all many apply thinly with a da which is a circular motion. Cross hatch some ceramics, others are just straight line overlapping
I have use chemical guys and I really love it thank you to them
Error the wax is put 2 to 3 lines on the applicator and applied from side to side up and down, to cover more the area.
The Chemical Guys seemed to fair just a tad better, but your right I want something with more of long lasting effect. Considering my car is ceramic coated anyway I would be looking for something that would boost the longevity and help it last longer than the 5 year warranty.
Do a comparison between the chemical guys hrdro slick vs the new turtle wax ne hybrid ceramic coating
La pregunta es , cuantas horas tienes que dejar el carro reposando para poder mojar .. es la pregunta . La pueden contestar.
@John D no ingles
Vicente Ruelas tienes que dejarlo por lo menos 24 horas
John D he say how many hours need to cure
@@chamodetail , entoses la tienda me mintio me dijeron que 3 horas y pz no kiero tener problemas con mis clientes muchas gracias.
The new “ceramic wax” are worse than the old waxes. What a evolution
You do not like the Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray? I like that one, very slick and nice gloss. But I certainly agree with you overall on your point of the older "waxes" possibly being better!
@Ben Daulton I am seriously thinking about getting a ceramic coating in the Spring
from Brian at Apex Detail.
Thier hex pads are great and well priced here in Australia. My fav pads by far.
Down Under Garage In Europe too, quantum ones are great, though here in Europe there are many brands that have same type of pads now with hole in center. Like Honeycomb Combinatiin, that aren’t know that well but are as good and cheaper than chemicals ones.
TW hybrid ceramic is way durable than these. It lasted several of your torture tests and still working! Cool videos!
Project Farm did a ceramic coating test and TW won his test.
Meguiars seems to water bead better, I personally started using meguiars for my details and I’ve been pretty happy with them
The Meguiar’s is not suppose to haze like traditional waxes. Secondly, there is not cure time after the initial 3-5 minutes.
Jimbo can you please tell me what is the best ceramic spray wax/sealant!? I cant decide just want the best price dont matter. Love your videos.
Mckees37 365
My local autozone had the chemical guys one for $20
Really?
Thanks for the tip. Going to check out my local autozone this weekend. There is one literally across the street.
If it’s the $10 tub it’s gas!!!
The Meguair's Liquid SPRAY Wax is THE best thing I've used in the past 10 years. I wouldn't trade it for e absolutely anything else at this point, not a paste, not a spray, not a gel.
Which spray? The detailer or the ceramic wax you spray on a wet car?
I would go with Meguires because I would re-apply frequently. Question do you have the link/name
for that blower lol 😬
I also want to know what blower your using. Any links?
Think the blower is chemical guys,
One thing to note is if you have paint chips or scratches and use these products it will seal the clear coat and those paint chips or scratches will never be able to be fixed people need to clarify more
Id like to see the winner of this test (chemical guys) vs a comparable standard paste wax vs a spray wax 👍🏽
And I would also like to note. Non of these seems to last longer than Carnuba Wax anyways.
Great job adding swirl marks, you'll never detail my car.
STFU bro... You probably drive a prius
With the high just like you’re not supposed to swirl it in your supposed to do it crosshatch style.
Finding that the Mother’s’ CMX works the best hands down. 🥃
I have to agree. That stuff is amazing, but you have to have to make sure you wipe it dry before it starts to haze
Great review. Thank you! Is clay-barring the car necessary before applying the ceramic covering?
T Wells absolutely. You don’t want to coat paint with contaminants
Not required, but you'll get the best results if you do. Highly recommend you clay first.
BTW, if you say "cheap vs expensive"(left to right), and the thumbnail shows chemical guys vs (any brand), you're saying chemical guys is the "cheap" brand...
Hey nice review of those products.
Can you do a review of CarPro Cquartz lite?
Its called forensic detailing channel
Awesome video, would love to see the difference between the high dollar tiny bottle brands....
first off, those tiny bottle brands are actual ceramic coatings 9/10 times. nothing about either of the products in this vid is ceramic.
Your circular application is giving me anxiety 😂… cross hatch pattern sir!
Outside of these two what would you actually deem worthy of lasting for a while after application?
The real winner of the torture test is the Eagle One Black & Plasti-Coat Wheel Cleaner. I’ll bet that you’ve helped sell more of that than any of the ceramic wax products. 😀
Don’t know why all the hate towards the hose and nozzle. I wish that you had that water pressure.
I had that water pressure.
i thought ceramic waxes can last up to 6 months? I’d stay with seal and shine then. thanks jimbo great video!
Seal N Shine is the best bang for your buck when it comes to paint protectant. At least when labor costs are moot. If you know how to apply a real ceramic then there’s your answer, otherwise, Seal N Shine.
go for real ceramic
~YoYO~ people like myself who have hard times getting storage for our vehicles to allow the ceramic coating to properly cure are without that option.
The chem guys definitely is nice I got it a few days back and tested it out and was very impressed
the most affordable (cheapest) CGs stuff is better than other companies mid grade to top of the line products.
Meguiars which I enjoy and like the results.
You can see he is pretty bias towards CG from the beginning
yep
A lot of sealants make plastics look good - how does this compare to say armorall shield sealant which brings plastics back to black? ITs my winter go-to.
seems like the control area worked better
Mate to remove any residue try to use proper shampoo not just clear water. Results may be different. TU anyway. Good work.
So only makes sense to me these days is high durable ceramic that last 2-3 years or two times a year spray ceramic wax
Alternative is maybe cleaner wax with DA to spray wax if car is neglected
That Meguiars liquid wax really sucks huh. The hybrid ceramic spray lasts long time. That’s the real winner I’d say.
Why would you not blow the control section with no coating your blower is so powerfull the water came off anyway with no ceramic
Chemical guys still isn’t worth 2x as much.
