Listening in 2022... I just watched love & Basketball in my car after my Grandma took her last breath this morning .. My dog loved to visit Grandma everyday ... Grandma loved that Chihuahua (Cheeka) ..
My mom took Cheeka in to see grandma one last time ....and Cheeka cried so hard just like all of us ...😔😔

It was originally recorded by his first band (a punk band) called the Frantic Elevators. He added to chorus and put it on Simply Red's first album Picture Book in 1985. If you don't know Simply Red I'd highly recommend you look them up. The perfect mix of Soul, Jazz, Funk, and Pop. This version by Angie Stone is very good. The Isley Brothers also did a version
