This place kinda reminds me of a cheap Texas Roadhouse. It’s kinda funny I was thinking those rolls were kinda small and just then you said they were big 😆
Well, they were smaller than what I've had in some places. I think that's actually what I said. I thought they were about the right size for two people. We've been at some places, where they bring out more bread than we could possibly eat. What made it bad here, is that she brought out a second basket of them without us asking.

We are celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary this weekend in Boone. After watching your video, I knew we MUST make Dodge City SH a stop. So are so glad we did! I ordered the chopped steak, red skin mp and green beans, all delicious! Scott ordered the Boot Hill Ribeye, loaded sweet potato (the best ever) and a salad. His was excellent also! Thank you for the video... keep giving us great food adventures. We are planning on Capones deep dish before we go home 😀

We've never been to a Dodge City Steakhouse. The prices of your entrees were about the same as Texas Roadhouse. Someone put in the comments it reminded them of a cheaper Texas Roadhouse but their prices on the items you got were a tad bit more than Texas Roadhouse. We definitely would try it out if in the area. The burger really looked good!
Well, I had to go back and do a bit of a price comparison. It does appear you are correct. Also, I compared the menu from our last visit to Dodge City in 2022, and they have gone up from then. What I got yesterday, was $11.99 then, and $13.99 now. It looks like it is $11.99 at TR, but I'm not sure what size cut that is, because the menu doesn't say. Here, it was 12 oz. The ribeye cuts at Dodge City have also increased in price from our first visit, and are actually a bit higher than the local TR in Hickory. Not sure why I thought TR was higher. I have not actually spent the cost of a full meal at TR in years (since the one in Gatlinburg was still there), as we always go to the one in Hickory when we have a gift card from accumulated credit card points. I usually get out of there for about the price of a single meal, and I guess I was not taking the time to actually do the math. I am wondering if that is why I remembered TR being higher? Could the one in Gatlinburg have been a bit more than our local ones, just because of where it is? That's the last time I paid full price at a TR. And that one has been gone for a few years now. I also cannot compare the chopped steak/burger here, with TR, because I have only gotten steak at TR. But I can't imagine anything topping the taste of what we had yesterday. Going back to what I remember of the ribeye at Dodge City from 2022, I would put TR maybe a slight bit above it.
Great review on the Dodge City Steakhouse ! We have never been to a Dodge City Steakhouse. We loved the decor, also ! Those onion rings looked great. Everything looked delicious and by the review , it not only looked delicious sounds like, it was delicious . Those coupon books make it so worth the purchase to have the opportunity to save when dining out. Is that coupon book only for restaurants? Thank you for sharing this video.
There are a few other things as well. I think there's a coupon in there for a free game of bowling, and maybe an oil change or two. It's not just restaurants, but mostly.

I've had that experience a few times, and yes, I think what we ordered yesterday was a bit overcooked. But it still tasted good, so we didn't really complain. We went to a place in Gatlinburg (Howard's) last year, that when we ordered the steak medium, they came out medium rare. Some places get it right. Others don't. Just depends on where you go, I guess. Or who is cooking it.

Yeah, the lack of help seems to be a thing anywhere you go anymore. It's sad. Glad you like it. I like that expression "knock the horns off". Kind of reminds me when my wife's uncle in Minnesota went out to breakfast with us. He didn't want his bacon crispy, so he told the waitress to "leave it on the wiggly side".

Honestly, alcohol is something we never show on the menu in any restaurant, nor do we ever encourage it or endorse it. And we never will. Our testimony for Christ is first and foremost to us, and we believe promotion/drinking of alcohol, would be damaging to that testimony. To be honest, had you been asking this question because you were interested in going to order alcohol, I would have not provided the answer, because again, I would not want to feel as if I were encouraging anyone to go somewhere for that reason. But since you said you are asking in order to avoid it, then yes, they do. I edited that part out when I was going over the menu as I always do, because again, that is not something we participate in, or would ever endorse. I don't want anyone watching our channel and that being the source where they learned that a place serves alcohol. I hope that makes sense.
