A song composed by former leader of the Original Eric Quincy Tate Group, Donnie McCormick as a solo act played with a band which included Oliver Wood with McCormick,
I forget that former Eric Quincy Tate guitarist Tommy Carlyle co-composed this tune with my long distances pal since 1973 since I live a 12 hour drive from Atlanta
I was in the studio when this was recorded. there are almost a dozen solo McD's floating around with 500 copies printed. Larry Bowie at Ballingraff Studios may have some available. Bill Lowery put our 4 singles with Donnie solo until Donnie found that Eric Quincy Tate"s producer was bootlegging l.p. s to Europe and South America .Rock and Roll Blood, Southern Way can be heard on Google. etc. I have one with Burning Mu CandlesAt Both Ends on it.
Cool stuff thanks for sharing. Wood Bros Postcards from Hell done as a tribute to Col Bruce that same night, was actually written about Donnie Mc.
You should have heard Donnie McCormick sing this especially when he sings "my heart hurts to the touch."
Yes - heard him regularly with both Bill Sheffield and Fat City Wildcats @ the Northside Tavern - he also played/sang with Oliver Wood at the Variety Playhouse
