I’ve been looking at embroidery videos since October when I bought my machine. This is the first video that has inspired me to open a shop and try these out. Thanks so much for your videos and the napkins are so beautiful. Also first video I every left comment. Thanks so much for idea.
Hi Sean forgive me if I’m spelling your name wrong please provide correct spelling. I love the color combination for the design. I was confuse in the measurements but I got it now. I haven’t attempt any designs on my New machine I had to make some room and now I’m ready.. That design makes the napkin look very expensive. Glad to see you. Designs by JuJu. Got it.
Hi Ms. Evelyn!! It's good seeing you on here!! I hope that all has been well. My name is spelled Shone ( I really don't stress about it ...lol ) Yes!!! You have your space.....now get that machine going. :-) I love the designs at Designs by JuJu and yes, embroidery can make the simplest things look amazing!
Absolutely stunning work!!!!!!! I love the design. Does the lettering come with the background design???? I have wanted to make my own embroidered napkins for ever. That is one of the reasons I purchased my machine. Thank you so much for posting this tutorial. I had no idea how to exactly go about it. I am excited to make some for myself and a few special people. I know you are going to do well with your shop. You are a great teacher by the way. I could listen to you speak all day you voice is so calming. 😊
Thank you so much! I’ve been wanting to make napkins but never could figure out where to start stitching. Your napkin is beautiful and your video is easy to understand and follow along with
You have actually given me the courage to make and gift embroidered napkins!Thank you!!! Interesting thing about the "gunk" on your iron... bits of starch can actually 'toast' brown if you let the iron sit on starched cloth too hot and too long. Hope that helps your mystery.
Oh no. I am sorry to hear that. I have never had any problems with unzipping her designs. Try contacting them and see if they can figure out whats wrong.
That iron is also sold on Amazon! I bought one last week... Not hard to find, it was the #1 iron at least at the time.. It's called Steamfast and comes in handy. I just need a little holding stand for it but it does stand up and steams pretty well for the size
Forgive me if I am misunderstanding your question. Do you mean on the screen? This machine will show the design on the screen once it is uploaded. The other details are features with this machine.
I actually used 90wt because the dealer I bought my machine from gave me 90wt Brother bobbin thread saying it was weighted "just right" for the Brother machine.
In general, bobbin thread is always white or black dependingon ones preference. Freestanding lace (like earring or book marks) designs are the only time I absolutely have to match the bobbin to the top thread .
Hi it looks beautiful but am not shore where to get my machine embroidery designs because i have heard alot of scams you buy them and then they dont send 😔
There are some that are not very honest. But I have never had a problem with Designs by JuJu- she has a website with all of her designs and she may still have an Etsy site. I also like Embroidery- Boutique.com. I have never had a problem downloading my designs directly from either of their sites. Just set up an account so that your files are linked to you. I always save my files to a flash drive after downloading them.
You can try using a 65/9 needle, but if the design is too dense with too many stitches going in and out of a small area or if the stabilizer is not enough, holes may appear.

I made pillow cases, then embroidered a simular design on it. The gold and red was a hit with my niece.
Gold and red is a color combination I absolutely Love!!!!
Love it!

I bought the Elegant Damask from juju and couldn’t get it to unzip. But I love your napkins. Gone put an L on some pillowcases❤️

Beautiful! I blow dry my designs for a quick dry when using water soluble stabilizer.
Thank you! I don't know why I never thought about using a hairdryer!

How do you make the machine make the box shape does it appear on the machine ?? Can you show that and great video god bless you

Thanks again for an informative tutorial. Can you explain why you are using a 90wt bobbin thread and not 60?
I actually used 90wt because the dealer I bought my machine from gave me 90wt Brother bobbin thread saying it was weighted "just right" for the Brother machine.
OMG so beautiful, I love it!😍 can you share any good supplier for both cotton an linen napkins? Will give it a try 😊
Thank you! I buy these fron Amazon. I honestly haven't looked for a bulk supplier.
@@SouthernAudacity thank you 😍
How do you know what bobbin colors to use or do you thread the bobbins to match colors?
In general, bobbin thread is always white or black dependingon ones preference. Freestanding lace (like earring or book marks) designs are the only time I absolutely have to match the bobbin to the top thread .
Do you pre-wash the napkins at all to pre-shink them?
No Ma'am. I don't. I found that as long as I wash in cool/warm water and press with starch afterwards, they are pretty much the same size.
Love this tutorial. The stitching came out really nice.
Have you tried making a wreath sash? Would you mind making a tutorial for it? TIA
Thank you! I have not tried making a sash. But great idea! I will have to check out what pattern options are available!

I get small holes in my linens with 75/11 needles, are those the wrong size? I do use tear away though
You can try using a 65/9 needle, but if the design is too dense with too many stitches going in and out of a small area or if the stabilizer is not enough, holes may appear.
