I’m right there with you! I’ve been a shred guitarist for a lifetime and have fallen in love with this style of guitar playing. Brett, keep these coming!!!
That was AWESOME!!! I'm a total Brad Paisley fan, he turned me away from rock/metal to country and I've been studying so much country theory from GMM, Doug Seven, and so much more and after watching this interview with Hayden, so much just CLICKED for me. Thank you so much
I love Brad's playing too. But no matter how good anyone is at anything, it won't ever turn me away from the other things I love. My favorites have always been players like Steve Morse, because they combine so many different styles, even in one tune. For me that's what music will always be about. It is in fact how *all* genres of music came into existence. Even Brad wouldn't be as great a country guitarist as he is without all the years he spent studying jazz.
@@aylbdrmadison1051 all good, i meant i left my rock/metal band and am studying country, which as you know incorporates jazz, blues and rock.....so win win right
Awesome! Guys , y'all kick butt. It's amazing how he said " he watched papa's videos in high school." Now he's chopping out licks that are blowing the masters' mind. lol. Hope I'm half as good as you guys one day. Thanks for the video.
This video is fantastic, if this doesn’t put a smile on your face, I feel sorry for you. Great job guys. I remember when Brad Paisley got in touch with you and posted that video of him using your video to relearn his solo over a song he was playing in concert that night. That is back when you were the busiest guitar player on UA-cam and still might be, you posted videos on GuitarJamzs, PapaStache, PapaStache 102, PapaStache Country, PapaStache Rock, PapaStache Pop. You are still setting the internet on fire with all of your great videos. That is quite an honor to have Brad Paisley, the Eddie Van Halen on Cornbread, the best Chicken Pickin singer song writer give you recognition for relearning his solo. Great video guys. Congratulations Hayden on learning to play so well.
papastache102 Not trying to tell you your business, but you need to plug your CAGED Method again and have Hayden on again and demonstrate more of what helped him out, after the shock and awe wears off from his amazing playing. I am glad you made the move and everything is working out for you.
Loved this video! Being 56 years young, Eddie definitely threw a monkey wrench into the world of guitar playing with the first album. I spent the rest of my life learning his techniques. I was totally consumed with Eddie’s playing! Fast forward to Brad Paisley. My world was again turned upside down lol! Love the “Eddie on Cornbread” analogy! That’s exactly how I see Brad Paisley. He is not only an unbelievable guitarist, but a great song writer and vocalist as well! I think he is the biggest overall talent to hit country music in years. He has it all! Shit......I’m starting all over again with another monkey wrench thrown in there! When you love playing guitar you never stop learning. RIP Ed, there will NEVER be anyone like you, but I’m pretty sure there will never be another Brad either.
Yeah Brad is the entire reason I gave country music a chance. Little Moments solo hooked my right away. Creative songwriting, out of this world band, great lyrics he has it all. Hayden introduced us last time he was here and he was super cool and humble as well. More Hayden coming soon. He has gotten much better since this video and he was already really good! Thanks for watching!
Hayden just really wants to share in my opinion. That s the difference from all those "guitar heroes" keeping the knowledge away from the rest. You should make all the country guitar course for purchase.
@@haydenbakerofficialSure but knowing some rules and theory tips is vital. You should make some tutorials about country playing. Sent the email from your website but there s no response for that 😉
Damn thats was hot i have to watch this again before i sleep all the best brett you made my lockdown very cool i could watch your channel all day ! 🎸🔥❤️🇵🇭 🤘
Brad paisley really got me hooked in too, him and Albert Lee were the reason I fell in love with this style of guitar. Then I discovered Guthrie, Brent, Vince Gill, and the list goes on 😁
Also, thanks for this lesson! Transcribing by ear is fun but stuff like this is great, can really digest the information and hear musicians talk about it in the process 👍
Man guys this was the funnest guitar lesson video I have seen in a long time on-line. Nice Nice job...So jealous of how great Hayden is at such a young age.....and dont worry papa your great too ! LMAO
The best teachers all have students that pass them up in certain ways. A great teacher opens doors for their students to excel (a great example of this is Joe Satriani and Steve Vai). So it's obvious Brett's done a great job as a teacher. But not only that, no matter how great a player someone is it doesn't mean they have anywhere near that level of ability as a teacher. It's a rare thing when the two manifest in one individual.
I've learned recently that if you really want to become a better player, force yourself to learn a totally different genre of music from what you normally play.
Wow! This has advanced me so much thank you for all that!! I’m an intermediate or less kinda player. Always been a rock/blues player but my heart is in the country, and this broke so many barriers for me thank you guys so much. You said it perfectly, just needed to slow that stuff down a tad so some of us humans could wrap our brains around it haha. NEW SUBSCRIBER!
Brett Papa.....there is SO much content on the Tubes that you have unfairly been sidestepped by me, through no fault of your own. Recently though, I rewatched the video you and RJ did going through the fuzz pedals, and I was like, “Why don’t I watch Brett Papa more? I’m an idiot”! Lol So I pulled up your channel and selected this video I’m commenting on, and going through it, I am so amazed at how humble you are and not afraid to be seen not knowing how to play something and learning along with the viewer. That was cool. More Brett Papa for me now. Play on.
Cool video, glad I watched it, I’ve been playing for years and keep finding new tricks to learn. Check out John Jorgenson (he influenced Brad Pasley) to learn more interesting techniques. He played in the Hellcasters, those three players are incredible.
I'm a metal guy at my core, but Paisley and Mason are two of my top favorite players.
Yep, both are terrifying!
If you like Paisley and Mason, then you'll LOVE John Carroll from Austin, TX!

Michael Wright love seeing this. Keep picking!

More on the way! He is coming back in at the end of the month.
I know this is a few years old but how are you getting these tones?
What amp, delay, reverb, compressors were used?
Oh man I don’t remember. Probably just into the amps with a little delay and verb in post. No compressor pedals used.
thanks for this one bud..
Sure thing!
This is going to keep me busy.... Great stuff 👍
Awesome! Thanks for checking it out!
😊
Brent Paisley 😁
Lol
What bridge pickup is in your strat? Seems to be able to cover any style of music!
Lollar Imperial Low Wind. Incredible pickup!!

Thanks! Was a gift from a friend based on one of his personal pieces.
The Keys to that Lamborghini...... If you wanna impress your friends.....as Michaelangelo would say.
Haha! More Haden coming soon!
🔥
Yep he is pretty freakin awesome!
I’ve had the opportunity to play with both Hayden and Brad. They’re both phenomenal players!
Thats awesome! Yeah they both can show those strings who is boss.
Dude is playing sick metal and he has no idea
Haha just add some distortion and you are good to go! He will be back soon!
@@BrettPapa very soon!
The guy on the left is just a beater
Haha thanks!
what color red is that tele
I think it is Fiesta.
But the tone Brad has?? He's using d'r.z and your using different amps
Yep and that is okay!
Papastache
Wooohooo!
Play a non distorted guitar rhythm, your covering up the notes he is trying to demonstrate.
I'd like you guys to go slower. I'm sure someone who is familiar with this style is all over this but I need a real breakdown.
More on the way. Hopefully it will help to understand the concepts more.
to much power on that rhythm guitar in the begining
That strat is bad to the bone
Thanks!
